🚗 LIENS & THINGS: BIG CHANGES ARE COMING!

🚨 SOMETHING EXCITING IS HAPPENING AT LIENS & THINGS! 🚨
We've been working behind the scenes, and we're getting ready to introduce a new chapter!
For years, the automotive industry has focused on teaching shop owners how to repair vehicles.
But what about the business side?
What happens when customers don't pay? When vehicles aren't picked up? When paperwork piles up and administrative responsibilities take valuable time away from running your shop?
That's where Liens & Things comes in!
We're expanding our vision to provide independent automotive businesses with additional administrative support.
Because running a successful shop requires more than knowing how to fix cars.
💗 They teach you how to repair. I show you how to get paid.
Stay tuned! We're just getting started.

Some of the biggest problems in a body shop don't start with a repair—they start with a simple request.

"Can I just grab my personal belongings?"

Do you have a process for handling requests like this?

Strong documentation and consistent procedures help protect your business.

Question: Would your shop allow access? Why or why not?

What does your intake process look like?

Many payment and documentation problems begin before the first repair ever starts.

That's why I created a FREE Body Shop Intake Checklist to help shop owners evaluate their intake process and identify opportunities to strengthen it.

🚗 THE COMPLIANCE FILES

Today's story is based on an actual body shop experience. Details have been changed to protect those involved.

The repairs were complete.

The customer smiled and said,

"I'll be back tomorrow."

Tomorrow came.

Then another day.

Then another week.

Before long, the vehicle had been sitting at the shop for months.

What started as a simple promise became a business problem.

Situations like this are exactly why every body shop should have a clear process for vehicles that are never picked up.

Strong systems don't just protect your paperwork—they protect your business.

Question:

Have you ever had a customer leave a vehicle much longer than expected?
