Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Diesel Truck & Trailer Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in diesel engine repair and maintenance, with the ability to diagnose and resolve mechanical issues efficiently. This role is essential in ensuring the reliability and safety of our fleet, contributing to overall operational success.
Duties
Perform routine maintenance and repairs on trucks & trailers, including but not limited to PM Services, brake repair, air bags, DOT inspections , and AC systems.
Ability to be able to drive a company vehicle for service road calls, valid drivers license
Diagnose mechanical issues using diagnostic tools and equipment.
Conduct repairs on diesel engines, hydraulics, and electrical systems.
Utilize hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment for assembly and fabrication tasks.
Operate heavy equipment such as lifts and forklifts as needed for repairs.
Provide exceptional customer service by communicating effectively with the general manager regarding repair needs and solutions.
Maintain a clean and organized work environment while adhering to safety protocols.
Assist in tire service and heavy lifting as required during the repair process.
Requirements
Ability to provide a clean DMV motor vehicle report, as we provide 24-hour roadside assistance.
Proven mechanic experience with a focus on diesel truck & trailer heavy duty repair.
Familiarity with diesel truck and trailer diagnostics
Strong mechanical aptitude with hands-on experience using hand tools and power tools.
Knowledge of air brake systems, shocks & struts and hydraulic systems.
Experience with electrical systems troubleshooting is a plus.
Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail in all repairs performed.
