Everything lined up, locked in, kick panel repaired and seam sealed. Just waiting for the seam sealer to set so we can do a little last sanding, prime and paint. Then "Woody" is on to the next step.

We gave this once condemned Spitfire1500 a new lease on life.

Carroll Shelby and the "Shelby Cobra" along with Ford took the racing world by storm.

Did you know that Chevrolet did not take it lying down? They made the Corvette "Grand Sport" seen in this picture to go head to head with the Cobra in hopes of beating it back.

Extremely rare today to find one, but yes Chevrolet did not go quietly. They did fight back against the Cobra.

Here's a decent primer on tips for floor pans. Or you can look at some of the stuff we did on and always measure 50 times if you have to and cut once is an important key. Along with making sure the car is braced or you do not cut the factory braces so everything stays square when you put the new pans in.

What's some of your favorite tricks when doing floor pans or other sheet metal?

Some final patch work in the kick panel, sand the firewall, finish seam sealing and paint. Then "Woody" is on to the next phase! Note to self - we should have made the kick panel patch and sanded the firewall while the pan was out. It would have been a LOT easier. :)

Here's one for the old - not one of ours, something a friend of the shop sent us. We remember a time in the 1980's and into the 1990's where multiple forms of power adders were used. As seen here a roots style blower combined with twin turbos.

This is why we tear down with hand tools, visually inspect, clean, reinspect, perform magna-flux crack checking and pressure test. Customer brought in a "fresh rebuild" and stated "it had issues since" - we tear it down and find this. The builder should have easily caught this as the crack is visible to the eye.

That says, they got in a hurry, did not care or both. Always check to make sure you have a solid base BEFORE starting a build.

Dodge seems to be going all in on the new Charger platform with the twin turbo "Hurricane 6" almost a direct attack at Ford and the Mustang and a slap in the face to GM/Chevrolet for being behind the power curve.

The one thing this article is missing is "Time Slips" lots of action shots and cruising shots but where are the time slips?

Time will tell if the MOPAR faithful will give it a chance or if they will hold out for a Hemi Return.

LS Firebird thru this evening with idle issues. 3 other shops told the customer "Bad Throttle Body", "Bad IAC", and the worst "Bad ECM"

Can you spot the problem? and yes it was way worse if you see it.

Needless to say, we fixed it in about an hour. No bad throttle body or IAC and No bad ECM.

Another satisfied customer.
