We're pretty sure GM/Chevrolet now has concreted the return of the Camaro. The opportunity is there, the market is prime.

However, will they get it right? Rumors abound for its return being a 4 door CUV crossover, being and EV, versions of both gas and EV, now rumors are flying that GM may take a similar route to Dodge and have a 2 and 4 door model.

It's also on the wind that a V8 will find its way into the new Camaro again.

But what will the styling look like? Will it attract automotive enthusiasts? The pricing? will it indeed have a V8?

Time will tell.

One thing I think we all can agree on - GM/Chevrolet needs to do SOMETHING. Ford has been at the top of the hill now all alone with the Mustang since 2024 when Chevy killed the Camaro and Dodge waved goodbye to the then Challenger and Charger.

GM/Chevrolet is behing the power curve. Ford has the new Dark Horse Mustang and talks of a new sedan, Dodge is building up steam with the new Charger.

The automotive enthusiast world wonders "Where is GM?"

Valley cover/PCV grommet issue resolved. Minor tweaks on the bolt holes and its time to cinch it down and get ready to run it in!

06/03/2026

We've got at least a run in on the dyno coming of the on 301. We want to get some heat cycles thru it to see how it acts. We have to adjust our proto-type valley cover as we made the PCV grommet housing just a little to tall. But otherwise ready to go. Also running our signature series billet valve covers, our early proto-type oil dipstick and the set of 3 tube headers we made. Next up we may have to contact the Ray Klemm at our old test Q-jet works but has seen better days.

Next iteration of the proto-type we are working on the exhaust cross over/choke housing. That's right fellow Rodder's, Racer's and Racerette's, we are taking a hard look at making the TCDP 50 state legal. Not to mention making it have a factory appearance. Stay tuned 265 and 301 runners, we're leveling the playing field!

High-lighting the difference between an older stock style valve spring vs a more modern LS style beehive spring. You would be surprised the power we gained on a stock 301 Pontiac and our last 350 build. It only gets better the more upgrades you do.

Recap of Part 4 - of on more poor quality build as we found the over use of silicone, thread sealant and thread locker along with incorrectly torqued bolts. Stay tuned for part 5 - the short block!

06/02/2026

Long form - Part 4 of on we found more incorrectly torqued bolts, thread locker and sealant where it did not need to be, missing parts, and TONS of silicone.

Next up, we tear into the short block and see what else we find.

Back to on finding more issues. Check our FB page and YT channel for long form with details.

Taking measurements to ensure we get everything square, level and at the angle it needs to be so everything fits just right. Next up we get some weld thru primer on a few spots, some final adjustments, then we lock it all in!
