NC Transit Bus is back!!
We now have 2 vehicles for our Transit Services:

Transit Bus will be doing the ASHLAND/BIRNEY Routes
Transit Van will be doing the BUSBY routes

Morning runs will be 6am-8am & 8am-10am

Afternoon runs will be 3pm-5pm & 5pm-7 pm

Greetings. It is almost construction season time. We will be advertising the positions through the N.C. Human Resource Office. I believe the advertisement(s) will begin soon and will be on the NC website. There will be multiple openings for each position, with the exception of Laborer Forman. The following positions will be advertised:

Laborer Forman
Equipment Operator
Laborer
Motor Vehicle Operator/must have CDL
Flagger
Oiler / must have Hazmat and CDL

Please keep in mind that incomplete applications will not move beyond the screening process. It is the responsibility of the applicant to provide all documents required and to complete their application. Our transit van is currently undergoing maintenance, resulting in the cancellation of transit services for this afternoon, 1/31/2025, and Monday morning, 2/3/2025. Services will resume at 3pm on 2/3/2025.

The Road Maintenance Dept will be loading scoria on to your vehicle/trailer, at the Birney Divide scoria pit.

Also, there will be a contractor list available at the TERO Office, for those individuals who are interested in hiring someone for their road improvement needs. Also, any interested individuals who would like to be on the contractor list, please contact TERO.
