A transmission service isn’t what it used to be.

Take this 2019 Chevy Silverado 2500HD 6.6 Duramax with the Allison transmission. This isn’t simply a matter of pulling a drain plug, letting some fluid out, and putting new fluid back in.

On these trucks, a proper service involves dropping the transmission pan, replacing the internal filter, inspecting the pan and magnets for debris, and refilling the transmission with the correct fluid using the proper procedure.

That’s a big difference from the old-school drain-and-fill or generic “transmission flush” approach.

And there’s a reason we take the extra time. What’s inside that pan can tell a technician a story. Fluid condition, debris and material collected by the magnets can provide valuable information about what’s happening inside the transmission.

Modern transmissions are more complex, and the fluid type, level, temperature and service procedure all matter.

At Alpine Automotive, we don’t believe in treating every vehicle the same. We follow the service procedure appropriate for the vehicle and system we’re working on.

Hearing a strange noise from your vehicle can be frustrating—and finding the source of the noise can sometimes be more challenging than making the repair itself.

Some noises only happen under specific conditions: certain speeds, temperatures, road surfaces, braking, turning, or engine loads. That’s where proper diagnostics and experience matter.

At Alpine Automotive, our technicians are equipped to dig deeper when a noise isn’t immediately obvious. From road testing and chassis inspection to component testing and pinpoint diagnostics, we take the time to find the source—not just guess at the repair.

🔍 Hear something you don’t recognize? Let us find it.

This F-150 came in with failed Pro Comp upper ball joints. Aftermarket suspension components can be a great upgrade, but they still wear out—especially when you have oversized tires and aftermarket wheels.

Ball joints are a critical part of your suspension. They allow the steering knuckle to move while supporting the vehicle and absorbing the constant impacts from bumps, potholes, braking, and rough roads. Larger tires and heavier wheels can increase the load placed on them, making wear something you need to keep an eye on.

Signs of worn or failing ball joints can include:
• Clunking or knocking over bumps
• Popping or creaking while turning
• Steering that feels loose or wanders
• Uneven or abnormal tire wear
• Vibration or shaking through the steering wheel
• Excessive play in the wheel when inspected

A worn ball joint can eventually become a serious safety issue if it fails completely.

That’s why Alpine Automotive checks your steering and suspension every time your vehicle is on the lift as part of our FREE Multi-Point Inspection. We want to catch problems early, before a worn component becomes a major repair—or a safety concern.

Have a lifted truck or upgraded suspension? Regular inspections are even more important.

Meet Cale Mossberg.

The owner of Alpine Automotive — but more importantly, a husband, a dad, and a guy who believes in doing things the right way.

Cale has been part of Alpine for well over 15 years, spending more than a decade as an advisor before becoming the owner. He learned the business from the ground up and, more importantly, got to know the people who trust us with their vehicles.

Cale is the son-in-law of the former owners George and Debbie Pepping, and family has always been at the heart of Alpine.

When he’s not at the shop, you’ll probably find Cale hunting, woodworking, or spending time with his wife, two kids and dogs in the outdoors.

We’re what makes Alpine different.

We’re a small, family-run shop. We’re real people, living in the same world you are. We understand today’s costs, today’s challenges, and how important your vehicle is to your everyday life.

We’re just people who care about doing good work, treating people right, and keeping our community on the road.

That’s Alpine Automotive. Family owned. Community driven. Real people.

A Story That Spans Generations

Some cars are restored. Others are simply fortunate enough to spend a lifetime with someone who truly understands their value.

This stunning 1961 Chevrolet Impala is one of those rare survivors.

Purchased brand new in 1961 by the original owner, this beautiful two-door Impala has remained in the hands of the family who first drove it home over 60 years ago. Even more remarkable, it has been preserved exactly as Chevrolet built it. From the original drum brakes to the factory engine and original 4-speed manual transmission, this car remains an authentic piece of American automotive history.

In a world where so many classics have been modified or restored beyond recognition, finding an example this original is incredibly rare. Every detail reflects decades of careful ownership, routine maintenance, and genuine pride. This isn’t just a classic car—it’s a time capsule that tells the story of an era when craftsmanship and passion went hand in hand.

It was an honor to have this incredible Impala in our shop. Working on vehicles like this reminds us why we love what we do. We’re not just repairing cars—we’re helping preserve the memories, history, and legacy that come with them.

Thank you for trusting Alpine Automotive with such a special piece of your family’s story. We look forward to helping keep it on the road for generations to come.

At Alpine Automotive, we’re always looking for ways to save our customers money without sacrificing quality or safety.

One of the best ways we do that is with our in-house brake lathe. When your brake rotors still have enough material to safely meet manufacturer specifications, we can resurface (or “turn”) them instead of automatically replacing them. That means you get a smooth braking surface while avoiding the cost of brand-new rotors when they’re not actually needed.

Not every shop has the equipment or takes the time to do this, but we believe in repairing what can be safely repaired. If your rotors can’t be saved, we’ll always be upfront and explain why. If they can, we’ll help you get the most life out of the parts you already have.

It’s just one of the many ways we work to keep your repair costs down while making sure your vehicle is safe and reliable.

At Alpine Automotive, we don’t believe every repair has to become an expensive repair.

This Honda CR-V came in needing a repair that, according to the standard procedure, required another component to be removed first. The problem? Years of Colorado rust had that part seized solid. Forcing it apart would’ve meant additional labor, extra parts, and a much higher bill for our customer.

Instead of taking the easy way out, our technician relied on experience and found a safe, effective alternative. The repair was completed correctly, the customer’s problem was solved, and they drove away without paying for work they didn’t actually need.

That’s the difference experience makes.

At Alpine Automotive, we don’t guess, and we don’t sell repairs you don’t need. We take the time to find the right solution, saving our customers time, money, and unnecessary headaches.

If your vehicle has a problem, let our team take a look before you assume the worst.

When your check engine light comes on or your vehicle starts acting up, guessing can get expensive.

At Alpine Automotive, we invest in advanced diagnostic equipment and experienced technicians who understand today’s complex electrical systems. From intermittent wiring faults and sensor failures to drivability concerns and communication network issues, we take the time to diagnose the problem correctly before recommending repairs.

Our goal isn’t to sell you parts you don’t need—it’s to find the root cause, fix it right the first time, and get you safely back on the road.

Because every unnecessary part replacement costs you money, and we know guessing gets expensive. That’s why we’re here to help.

Stop by Alpine Automotive (5495 W. Mississippi Ave) or give us a call (303-922-3521) to schedule your diagnostic appointment. Let our team take the mystery out of your vehicle’s problems and give you confidence in the repair.
