When you build as many serious 2JZ combinations as Jay and the crew at RS Garage, you find parts that work, and you keep them on the shelf.

We caught up with Jay at FL2K to talk about why RS Garage relies on Manley shelf-stock 2JZ pistons and connecting rods for many of the engines coming through their shop, and the experience they’ve had pushing those components in some pretty extreme applications.

How extreme? The same shelf-stock Manley piston they keep on hand and use in customer builds is also inside his 385 MPH 2JZ powered streamliner.

Relationships with engine builders like Joe and the FFRE team play a huge role in what we do. Their real-world experience pushing parts at serious power levels gives us valuable feedback as we continue developing components built to raise the bar for both performance and reliability.
