Cheap cars aren’t always better…

If you’re in the market for a car and think buying a cheaper car will save you money and make it easier to finance, this couldn’t be further from the truth.

Banks need collateral to finance. When the collateral is too cheap they risk the asset they’re finance with not lasting as long as the loan. They also aren’t easy to book, meaning their value isn’t diminished in the finance world.

It is much easier for someone to purchase a more expensive or later model vehicle and spend that couple extra dollars. This will make an approval much easier and lower your chances of the car giving out on you while still being responsible for debt service on it.
