FYI
If you bring a vehicle in to get worked on and have 500 lbs of tools and a cooler in the bed, there will now be a 1 hour minimum charge for removing them. No reason for me to break my back over and over. A little consideration can go a long way!

Race car is tested and ready to go! Next week we take on the 500 mile Mexican rally! The format is very different from our usual, so there will be a little learning in the process. Qualifying on Thursday, race on Friday and Saturday! Gotta thank the people who help us get to the start line.
First is car owner killing his retirement so we can go have fun! Next is our main sponsor keeping us protected when down in baja!

I built this transmission for GEM Racing 1969 using all the CryoHeat goodies. Upgraded bearings, micro polished and cryoheat treated internals. We raced the legacy baja Nevada 1000 mile race with this transmission, a pinched vent line caused one axle seal to be pushed out and leak ALL the oil out. They ran 100 plus miles (maybe more) with hardly any oil. In the pit we installed a seal and fixed the vent line, then put 2 quarts of oil back in and continued the race. During my initial inspection, everything looks really good inside, no signs of damage or heat, even the bearings still feel amazingly smooth. I am pretty impressed with how this held up. Another rebuilt turbo transmission! This one broke a couple teeth on the input shaft, while we were in there i installed all the goodies! High quality Japanese bearings, high gear shim and dont forget that monster pinion support plate to keep everything in line!
All of these upgrades are less expensive if you do it as a preventive maintenance instead of waiting for the inevitable transmission failure.
