🏁 Collected 300+ career victories during his racing career.

🏁 MEMORY MONDAY — WHO AM I? 🏁

This week, we’re going back to an era when Florida short-track racing was packed with some of the toughest Late Model competition in the country.

Can you name this Florida short-track standout from these clues? 👀

🏆 Won the 1983 Florida Governor’s Cup at Golden Gate Speedway — the final Governor’s Cup held there before the track closed.

🏁 A multiple-time Cracker 200 winner at New Smyrna Speedway, taking victories in 1983 and 1988.

🏆 Added a Red Eye victory and an Orange Blossom 100 victory to his résumé.

🔥 Went toe-to-toe with some of the biggest names in Florida Late Model racing throughout the 1980s and into the early ’90s.

🏎️ In one memorable three-night stretch of racing in Central Florida, he won two of three 100-lap features, competing against a field that included names like Red Farmer, Buzzie Reutimann, Ronnie Johnson and Charlie Swartz.

In 1989, he nearly added another Governor’s Cup to the trophy case, battling Dick Anderson in the closing laps at New Smyrna before finishing second.

If you followed Florida short-track racing during this era, there’s a good chance you remember this guy.

Lincoln Park Speedway, Putnamville Indiana 9/23/26

In our Universal Cabling Systems, Inc. qualifying we placed 10th out of 27 and in our Boswell Oil Company heat we went 4th to 5th.

In the Dunn Rite Construction feature we started 13th and clawed our way up to 4th where we finished after getting the bottom rolling pretty good mid-race.

That's a Reinke South East Territory top 5, we will take it against some stout competition with the FloRacing Night in America series.

That's a wrap on this Wednesday show, we will load it up and head over to Brownstown this weekend with the Lucas Oil Series!

This Valrico racer won back to back Winternationals features in 2006 and led every lap. He loved a good side by side battle and always gave the other guy credit afterward. That familiar number 02 might jog your memory.
