🏁 WEEKEND WAR STORIES — GUESS THIS TRACK 🏁

This week we’re throwing it back to a closed-down asphalt track that a lot of Midwest racers still remember.

Here are your hints…

✈️ It was built right beside an airport.
🔁 The facility had both an inner track and an outer track.
🚗 Over the years, it hosted late models, modifieds, street stocks, mini stocks, karts, and plenty of special events.
🔥 The fast asphalt, the airport next door, and the weekly racing atmosphere gave this place a personality all its own.
😔 The track closed at the end of 2019 after the property lease was not renewed.

The racing community is invited to join us as we celebrate the life of Joe Dorer on Sunday, July 12, 2026, from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Moose Lodge, 117 E. Chicago Rd., Coldwater, MI 49036.

Joe's impact on short track racing reached far beyond the driver's seat. A member of the ****, Joe began racing in 1968 and went on to earn more than 100 feature victories across Michigan, Indiana, Ohio, Georgia, Alabama, and Florida. From his iconic No. 97, to building championship-winning race cars, inventing the renowned Dorer Easy Shifter, promoting racing at Butler Motor Speedway, and helping countless racers achieve success, Joe dedicated his life to making the sport stronger.

Above all else, Joe was a father of three and a proud grandfather of one. His legacy isn't measured only by trophies and championships, but by the lives he touched, the racers he mentored, and the friendships he built throughout the racing community.

Please join Joe's family and friends as we honor, remember, and celebrate a life that left an unforgettable mark on motorsports and on everyone fortunate enough to know him.

🏁 TECH TIP TUESDAY 🏁

In today’s video, we’re talking brake bias adjusters — what they do, how they work, and why they’re such an important tuning tool inside the racecar.

Being able to adjust brake bias helps fine-tune how the car reacts getting into the corner, especially as the track changes throughout the night. A small adjustment can make a big difference in driver feel, braking stability, and overall balance.
