My granny Joyce Burns with Marie & Pauline back in early 2000s. Sadly we’ve lost all 3, but just recently we lost Marie 💔. Marie was one of a kind just like most that resided or visited here. They were a special breed ❤️

Joyce’s taxi started after she kept giving the tournament & guest fishermen rides to their trucks. They gave her tips and she enjoyed it. It gave her purpose.

Anyone who has fished, hunt, swam, lived or loved this lake….I ask you read this. This property is located next to FX ranch (fewox ranch….south end of lake). Think of all the days you’ve spent out on the lake listening to the peace and quiet of Mother Nature. Now, imagine stocked race cars roaring. Not to mention the environmental impact this will have on the lake and wildlife. This is not open to the public. This is for private use.

Sadden to learn the passing of Mike Bryan this evening. All the Bryan boys (Terry, Daryl, Freddie, Mike and their momma Pauline) have all been a part of the fish camp family. And now they are all together again. It was a pleasure knowing them all. Hugs & love to the family.

Awesome job! Slim & edna have been a part of the fish camp since the 50's. Edna spent many nights & days fishing (and catching) off the dock and slim spent many nights cleaning her catches. wonderful people. Jd & I both got our first zebco 33s from Edna. She is surely missed. Thank you Dave meyer and Edwina Boothe Meyer for an awesome job.
