Hi my name is Tony Castronovo, I own Warehouse Hobbies/Enforcer MFG. We are the pioneers of production gasoline radio controlled power boats since 1982. Warehouse Hobbies was a freestanding hobby shop located in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida in the early years that catered to all aspects of the hobbyist. Our inventory sided heavily towards nitro powered model boating as we ca
tered to one of the largest boating sectors in the world at that time. I shortly realized as model boating interests increased the demands that are required to be successful with nitro powered engines did not apply to everyone. A greater deal of mechanical aptitude is necessary to operate these types of powered boats. Alternate power such as small gasoline engines were dabbled with several years earlier, but due to the high costs of these engines combined with the lack of industry to support them for our use in the sixties and early seventies the concept soon perished. Nitro powered motors were being improved and manufactured and became the first choice for the boat modeler. In 1984, Warehouse Hobbies went into production with a gasoline-powered boat using a modified ECHO string trimmer power head. These engines were becoming more plentiful and at much less cost as the string trimmer industry was starting to flourish. We continued to improve our products such as fiberglass hulls, engine modifications, hardware, etc. By 1987, Warehouse Hobbies had created a viable industry complete with competitors. Today, some 22 years later, the gasoline model boating has become the largest segment of the model boating industry on a worldwide level. Gasoline powered model boats are raced in competitions all over the world, but the majority of owners of these large-scale gassers enjoy their days off at the lake on a recreational level. Warehouse Hobbies Enforcer continues to lead the industry in product development, sales, service and manufacturing producing well over 1000 ready-to-run models per year and support parts for thousands of home do-it-yourself builders. Our company staff is knowledgeable and eager to help before, during, and after the sale.
