Are you surprised by the result? The Progression owner was super cool afterwards

By popular demand, here’s some of the key features and sounds of RUFSTR. Plus a top speed run after we added the Team Saris Performance Marine 900efi powerplant!

When you want to go right, but the boat wants to go left… “Bronx Phantom” closes the door on “Superboat,” forcing John and Eddie to take the turn wide in Clearwater! They have to fight through some messy white water and wakes to keep the boat in good attitude and turn in hard to catch a good line for the exit. How’d these pros handle it??

I mean it’s kind of like a pontoon when you think about it, right? It just happens to go 150mph+!Powered by twin Team Saris Performance Marine 900efi’s, thanks to Kris Cox for showing us the start up!

The turn 1 shower is a great way to cool off after an adrenaline-filled morning leading up to the start. Johnny and Mike in Moderation took full advantage of their position on the course to get a good wash down so that they were refreshed on their way to capture the win in Clearwater!

John and Eddie in “Superboat” putting on a clinic in Clearwater! Notice how they work together to keep the boat out of the wakes and foamy white water, holding the inside, completing the turn in a shorter distance, and perfectly lining up the exit to maintain a high speed and slow down competitors

John and Eddie are always some of our favorite competitors to race against - they’re a super talented team that have raced together for a LONG time. They also run a Superboat Y2K. It’s always a good race!

Sometimes when we post lake videos, people comment that we can’t handle real offshore conditions. So anyway, here’s us in the same boat that we do 100mph with on the lake, but instead racing it offshore. Yes, we won this race.

Personally I find any excuse to be on the water pretty fun, whether it’s cruising to the sandbar at 35, tuning props to hit 100, or pushing ourselves and the boat to the limit racing offshore. We do a bit of everything at Team RUFSTR.
What’s your ideal day on the water?

PS the race boat is powered by Team Saris Performance Marine

“A total lack of Moderation Racing”
I got to fill in for Mike, owner and driver of Moderation, to help out with a quick prop test ahead of his next race.

The boat wasn’t handling well in right turns, the prop was basically fighting the lean of the boat, so we tried out another prop. Johnny, throttleman for Moderation (and RUFSTR!) is on the sticks. These are the results!

The boat is powered by a Team Saris Performance Marine Racing 650efi, which powered it to a national championship this year!
