Full Sail Yacht Charters, LLC Time to retire from teaching and enjoy sailing.

08/27/2025

I would like to thank all of my students over the past 11 years, however it is time to retire from teaching. Several factors has lead to this decision. The two main factors are the cost of insurance and not having the weekend free to enjoy going to the islands and other destinations. I have made many good friends that we enjoy sailing with yet today. If you want sailing lessons I recommend “Great Lakes Sailing Company” in Traverse City MI. I cannot say enough good things about them.

The next leg of the move from Wisconsin to Ohio saw high winds, no winds and storms. We are in Traverse City, MI until after the end of the month. A well deserved break with friends on a flotilla is in order.

Spring is here and the sailing season is just around the corner. We are excited to announce that our fleet is expanding. We are in the process of purchasing a Catalina 350. We will now have several boats for you to choose from for bare boating in Lake Erie this summer.

Sail About, a 1987 Catalina 30. While not close to being new, she is an economical boat to charter for honing the basic skills.

Never Enough, a 2005 Catalina 320. A great boat for a couple or a couple with children. To spend a weekend or even a week on. She comfortably seats six adults for a day sail, but would be a bit crowded for that many to sleep on. It is possible though. While the name “Never Enough” doesn’t fit in to our naming scheme, once you sail her you’ll understand the name.

Sail More, a 2005 Catalina 350. This boat is a comfortable for up to six adults, both sailing and sleeping. The two cabins each sleep two and the table converts in to an additional bed for two more.

Sail Away, a 1995 Catalina 400. Sail Away is a nicely kept boat with many amenities. From the dual helm to the king size bed in the aft berth to the large saloon you will find this boat will suit your larger boat needs. She sleeps 7 comfortably and is a joy to sail.
