We've got a little something cooking with Dani LaCour and Justin Martindale.

No, we're not starting a band. Although... 🤔

Catch both of them performing at Chuck Fest on October 17 and keep an ear out for a special announcement from Corey Tarver between their sets.

Trust us, you'll want to hear this one.

Every lap. Every early morning practice. Every fraction of a second. It all leads to this!

The 2026 Sugar Bowl LHSAA Boys & Girls State Swim Meet is coming to SPAR, and Lake Charles Toyota is proud to support the high school athletes competing for a state title.

Our Jeremy Nunnally recently caught up with Sulphur High School swimmer Whitt Miller as we celebrated the hard work and dedication it takes to compete at this level.

Best of luck to Whitt and all the swimmers competing!

Some people play pickleball and tennis for the exercise. Some play for the friendships. And some just really, really hate to lose. You know who you are 😉

Whatever brings you to the court, the Lake Charles Racquet Club has been serving up opportunities to play since 1973.

Lake Charles Toyota is glad to be part of the club's lineup of local sponsors, helping keep the comradery going strong in Lake Charles.

So, which are you: the friendly doubles partner or the one who's keeping score even during warmups?

Some connections just keep giving back!

When Ryan Broussard was a member of the Pride of McNeese Cowboy Marching Band, he got to know the Lake Charles Toyota Giveback Grill. Today, Ryan is the band director at DeQuincy High School, and we had the opportunity to support him and his students!

Shawn and Sarge loaded up the Tundra, hitched up the Giveback Grill, and headed to DeQuincy to help the Fighting Tiger Band with their plate lunch fundraiser.

It's pretty special to see relationships come full circle like this. We're grateful for the opportunity to support Ryan and the next generation of young musicians!

Around here, some of the best family stories start in a duck blind, at the camp or out on the water. Helping the next generation make those memories matters to us.

Last night, more than 700 people gathered for the Delta Waterfowl Gulf Coast Chapter Banquet, presented by Lake Charles Toyota. We were grateful to support the work of protecting waterfowl, conserving habitat and keeping Louisiana’s hunting traditions alive.

Joining the evening from Lake Charles Toyota were Phillip, Corey and Eric Tarver, Jimmie Presnall, Shawn Fontenot, Jacob Berwick and Jessie Paxton.

Thank you to the chapter’s volunteers, fellow sponsors and everyone who came out. It takes people who care to keep these traditions going!

Lake Charles Toyota provided and served lunch for everyone playing in today’s 3rd Annual Calcasieu Parish Sheriff Stitch Guillory Golf Tournament. We also brought a little extra motivation to the course: a 2026 EZGO golf cart offered as a hole in one prize!

With 250 participants across two flights, the tournament brought folks together to support recognition programs and events for CPSO deputies. We’re grateful for the work these men and women do and glad we could be part of a day dedicated to supporting them.

Thank you to everyone who played, volunteered, and helped make today happen!

If you joined us today, what was the highlight of your round?

What does a career in automotive service look like from inside the shop? Today, SOWELA’s Vehicle Maintenance and Repair Technology students came to Lake Charles Toyota to find out.

General Manager Corey Tarver spoke with the students about the demand for skilled technicians. Then Service Manager Kenny Guillory, a Toyota Master Technician with more than 30 years of experience, walked them through our facilities and shared what the work and career paths here look like day to day.

After a hot lunch from the Giveback Grill, the students had time to ask more questions. To close the visit, Corey presented Jonathan Darbonne, Associate Dean of SOWELA’s School of Transportation and Applied Technology, with a $5,000 donation to fund several annual scholarships for automotive students.

Thank you to SOWELA and to every student who spent the day with us. We’re excited to see where your skills take you.

Who helped you picture the career you wanted to pursue?

Lake Charles Toyota was honored to sponsor the inaugural “Legacy in Motion” gala benefiting the Southern University Alumni Federation’s Lake Charles Chapter. The chapter supports local students through scholarships and helps new Jaguars find their footing through mentorship.

Our own Charles Froe, a member of Southern’s Class of 1980, accepted the JAG Sponsor Award on behalf of Lake Charles Toyota. He and his wife Glenda celebrated alongside DeAnne and Caleb Paster, Jimmy and Ramona Thomas, Megan Foxall, and Jackie Clemons. We hear Grambling Man Jimmy felt right at home among the Jaguars! 😉

A car seat can look secure and still need an adjustment.

In 2025, 70% of rear facing car seats and 83% of forward-facing car seats were not used correctly. Those numbers are a good reason for every parent and caregiver to get a second set of eyes on their child’s seat.

This Saturday, September 26, certified technicians will offer free car seat checks at the Lake Charles Fire Department station at 4200 Kirkman Street, from 9 AM to noon. No appointment is necessary. Bring the child, the car seat, and the vehicle they ride in so the technician can check the fit and show you how to use the seat correctly.

Please share this with a parent, grandparent, or caregiver in Southwest Louisiana. What car seat question would you want a technician to answer?
