The safety of our racing family not only at the track but traveling to and from the Moore Park Raceway is our highest priority. After reviewing the worsening weather forecast that includes a high probability of thunderstorms storms and possible flooding we feel it is best to postpone our May 9th Race 5 to a later to be determined race date. As we update our race schedule, we’ll be sure to share it here.

In the meantime, the Nation Club LA/MS will be hosting their Round 4 race date on May 23rd. And we encourage you to enjoy a fun and exciting event with them at NOLA Motorsports Park.

For those of you monitoring the weather for Moore Park Raceway’s race this Saturday, May 9th. We wanted to share that although we are also keeping a watchful eye on things, our plans are always to completely run our scheduled races, rain or shine. The only exceptions will be if we are unable to safely race due to lightning or standing water on track. So, pack your rain tires (of any brand; remember MPR is an open tire track) and let’s go race. If you don’t have any rain tires, feel free to reach out here or via our club WhatsApp group so we can best assist you in acquiring a set.

In the unlikely situation that we are forced to cancel due to an escalation of the impending weather, we will publish the race day cancellation here on Facebook AND in our WhatsApp group.

For those who have not yet registered and are looking to join us Saturday May 9th, or looking to become one of our members visit https://mooreparkraceway.wordpress.com/registration/

We Hope to see you all for a fun race day! If you have any questions or suggestions, about this race day or future ones, we encourage you to reach out through Facebook Messenger or in person at Moore Park Raceway on race day.

The off season seemed to fly by. It was just a few short weeks ago when we were telling everyone about the upcoming changes for 2026 at our banquet and our season opening weekend is now upon us. As mentioned during our banquet, we have put much effort into better aligning our 2026 classes and rules with the other regional race series our racers race in. Not just CKNA, that many of our MPR racers are currently taking part in this very weekend. But also APEX’s, Nation’s, and TSRS’s Championships. In doing so, we have split our previous Cadet class into the NEW MICRO and MINI classes for 2026, adjusted the minimum weights of all but one (1) of our classes (Heavy); all in an effort to help our racers more easily transition between the multiple series available for them to race in.

In addition, there has been active construction on the track (with more to come later in the year) and construction on documenting our race day rules and operations via the attached PDF.

If you’re a racer yet to register to race in each of the 2 opening championships points paying races of MPR’s 2026 season, click "Register Now" at (https://mooreparkraceway.wordpress.com)

Yes, you read that right. Not 1, but 2 Championship Races for our opening Race day of 2026 at MPR. Race-week is always special, but when it’s a doubleheader season opener Race-week, it’s EXTRA SPECIAL. And that’s exactly what we have this weekend at Moore Park Raceway on February 28th.

We’re looking forward to seeing everyone Saturday, be it racers or spectators. See you then 😉.

On January 10th 2026, we will be hosting the Moorepark Raceway Championship Ironman and Banquet.

For those of you unfamiliar, the Ironman is a fun, but grueling, non-championship race where the single individual winner takes home a very unique and memorable trophy (1 per class). While our sprint races typically last between 6-15 minutes each, the Ironman race is much longer.

We will have 3 separate run groups: Kid Kart, Cadets, and our Full Size Run group that will combine the Jr/Sr/Masters class. Each group will have their own 10 lap qualifying sessions directly before their respective race to earn their starting grid positions, but each group will effectively have 2 races separated by a 5 min intermission between them. This will allow everyone to prepare for the final session, where we plan to invert not only the rotation of the driving direction, but also invert a select number of racers. The run order invert will be determined by pea/pill pick. Our race sessions will be 20/20 for Kid Karts, 30/30 for Cadets, and 40/40 for our Full Size run group. Thats minutes, not laps. Last year, our top 2 racers finished with 202 laps each.

Following our Ironman race will be the Championship Banquet at Pizza Village On Moss St. (1935 Moss St, Lafayette, LA 70501- 6:30pm). At the MPR Banquet, we will acknowledge all of our championship podium finishers and the Ironman winners. In addition, we’ll have an overwhelming amount of door prizes for those door prize tickets. As a reminder, in addition to the door prize tickets earned throughout the 2025 season (through race entries and each Banquet entry), additional door prize tickets can be purchased for $5 each.

For all purchases and entries of the above mentioned items and more, please visit https://mooreparkraceway.wordpress.com/registration/. We are looking forward to seeing everyone there.
