To Whom It May Concern,
After much reflection and consideration, I am formally announcing my resignation from Drive Sober, effective immediately. I am also formally notifying the community that I, Christal Ramirez, and my business, S&C Ignition Interlock, are no longer affiliated with or associated with Drive Sober in any capacity.
This decision has not come easily. For the past 14 years, I have dedicated myself to the mission, vision, and founding principles upon which Drive Sober was established. I have always believed in serving our community through education, accountability, victim advocacy, and efforts to prevent impaired driving.
However, after careful evaluation, I no longer believe that Drive Sober is operating in alignment with its original mission and founding principles. As a result, I can no longer continue my involvement with the organization. I want to make it clear that any future activities, programs, decisions, communications, or representations made by Drive Sober are independent of me and S&C Ignition Interlock. Neither I nor S&C Ignition Interlock will have any responsibility for, involvement in, or authority regarding the organization's operations moving forward.
I will, however, remain fully committed to supporting initiatives that align with the original purpose of reducing impaired driving and promoting public safety—this work will continue through S&C Ignition Interlock. Drive Sober has not provided a forwarding email address, telephone number, physical address, or the location of the drop-off box for the Live Victim Impact Panel program, so I am unable to direct individuals seeking those services at this time.
Serving this community for the past 14 years has been an honor, and I remain dedicated to making a positive impact through S&C Ignition Interlock. Thank you to the many community members, volunteers, victims, families, and partners who have supported these efforts throughout the years.
Sincerely
Christal
