Rotarians took action on Thanksgiving!
Here are some photos of our Rotarians at work for the 8th Annual Love Of People Community Thanksgiving event.
Ochsner Lafayette General, Taco Sisters, and Poche's RV Park, Fish-N-Camp contributed enough to prepare 2,400 meals that were distributed to those in need in Opelousas, New Iberia, and Lafayette.
Our club stepped up to the plate in volunteering alongside other phenomenal company volunteers and organizations.
The following organizations were involved in the efforts:
Hub City Ford, CBM Technology, The705, Acadian Total Security, RISE Physical Therapy and Sports Lab, Badger Oil Company, Juniper Networks, Community First Bank of New Iberia, Lafayette Consolidated Government, LiveOak Wealth Advisors, United Way of Acadiana, The Salvation Army of Lafayette, LA, Imani Temple #49, Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Opelousas Chapter, A New Chapter PUSH, West End Council of Neighborhood Associations, Inc., Williams Progressive, YABTBAB Outreach Ministries, The City of Opelousas, and the City of New Iberia.
We received a few photos of happy faces who received the meals as well.
We lived up to the motto of our organization: Service Above Self. It was an honor to work with everyone involved.

"Every year we give over 300,000 diapers away, about 600 gallons of formula and about three acres of wipes to single moms, and needy moms, in our community â and we're just one part of this community," said Bonnie Borel Robichaux of The DesOrmeaux Foundation, which operates Baby & Me Boutique, a partner recipient of donations during the 6th Annual Julianâs Diaper Drive.
"So thank you for your donations. Our moms appreciate it, and our babies appreciate it."

Drop-off hours at participating locations are Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. - 5 p.m., and locations include: Hub City Ford, Drip IV Therapies, RISE Physical Therapy and Sports Lab, Better Business Bureau of Acadiana and the Lafayette Travel Visitors' Center! The 6th Annual Julianâs Diaper Drive is officially underway! You can help us help others for this cause that grows in importance each year, as the importance of the need grows. Diaper donation drop-offs run between now and July 23, on Mondays through Fridays, from 9 a.m. - 5 p.m., and culminates with the drive-thru drop-off day July 24.
Drop-off locations include: Hub City Ford, Drip IV Therapies, RISE Physical Therapy and Sports Lab, Better Business Bureau of Acadiana and the Lafayette Travel Visitors' Center. St Barnabas Episcopal Church is a community partner with us for the diaper drive. Your help goes a long way!
