On September 11, 2001, NYFD Firefighter Tim Duffy was at home when planes struck the World Trade Center Towers. Like other off-duty responders, he wanted to get back to his firehouse to help with the ongoing tragedy. But a combination of unprecedented gridlock and the shutting down of bridges, tunnels, and mass transit made getting into Manhattan nearly impossible. Duffy was undeterred. He jumped on his 2000 Harley-Davidson® Super Glide® Sport motorcycleand snaked his way through all the obstacles, arriving just after the South Tower collapsed. When the North Tower collapsed, he was buried under rubble but freed himself and continued rescue work at Ground Zero. That day photojournalist Allan Tannenbaum captured Duffy riding toward Manhattan on his Harley-Davidson® motorcyle in what is now an iconic photograph.
Tim Duffy continued to ride his 2000 Harley-Davidson Super Glide Sport after 9/11. However, a fire in the garage where it was stored and later a wreck, left the machine unrideable. With help from Harley-Davidson and local dealer Old School Harley-Davidson, the motorcycle was restored. #911 Harley-Davidson Museum

When this 2002 Dyna came in for a simple 3-hole fluid change Jerry noticed a coating of metal on the magnetic
transmission drain plug. Instead of just changing the oil and sending it out, he tore it down and discovered it was ready to fail and possibly get someone hurt. Can you say preventive maintenance?
