There’s nothing worse than walking back to your car after school or work and realizing it’s been baking in the Louisiana sun all day. ☀️

That was the problem with this 2026 Tesla Model Y. Since it spends most of the day parked outside, the owner was tired of just how hot the cabin would get.

We installed our IR ceramic film on the front doors and windshield, targeting two of the biggest areas for heat coming into the front of the vehicle.

The windshield especially makes a huge difference. With a high-performance ceramic film, you don’t need super dark glass to get serious heat rejection, making the Model Y much more comfortable when it’s been sitting outside for hours.

For a car with this much glass, high-performance ceramic tint is a no-brainer in Louisiana. ☀️

This Tesla Model 3 came in for our highest-performing IR+ ceramic film on every window and the windshield.

We went with 33% on the sides and back to stay around Louisiana’s legal limits, paired with a light 70% on the windshield. That windshield may not look dark, but the IR+ film is doing the heavy lifting by rejecting serious heat without sacrificing visibility.

Teslas already have a ton of glass surrounding the cabin. Add a Louisiana summer into the mix, and choosing your film based on heat rejection instead of just darkness makes a huge difference.

Cooler inside, a little more privacy outside. 😎

Our friend Shaylen brought her 2025 VW Atlas Cross Sport to C&G for QDP Ceramic tint on every window, including the entire windshield.

With Louisiana heat in full swing, ceramic was an easy choice for better heat rejection and a more comfortable cabin. And of course, the added privacy means you can enjoy your drive without feeling like you're sitting in a fishbowl. 👀

They just don’t make ’em like this anymore. 😮‍💨

This 1987 Chevrolet K5 Blazer stopped by C&G for a little finishing touch with 18% ceramic tint on the two front windows and a windshield eyebrow.

Nothing crazy needed here. Just the right shade, a cleaner look, some added heat rejection, and a classic K5 looking even better than when it rolled in. 👌

It’s the little details that make a tint job look factory. 👌

This 2026 Ford Mustang came in for QDP Ceramic on the sides and back glass, along with a windshield strip to help cut down on glare.

But what really finishes this one off are the door windows. We shaved and filed the top edges of the film, leaving little to no visible gap when the door is open.

It takes a little extra time, but the result speaks for itself: a clean, seamless edge that looks like the glass came tinted from the factory.

That’s the level of detail we want leaving our shop every day.

A few weeks ago, our good customer Chris trusted us with his wife’s vehicle. This time around, he decided to treat himself with this 2025 Hummer EV and brought it straight to C&G.

Louisiana changed its tint law, and your front windows can now legally be darker. 👀

Under the updated Louisiana tint law, front side windows can now measure as low as 25% VLT, giving drivers more options than the old 40% requirement.

At C&G, we typically use our 30% films when a customer wants to get close to that new legal limit. Since the factory glass itself can affect the final meter reading, using 30% film gives us room to achieve a darker look without intentionally pushing past the 25% limit.

And if you choose ceramic, you’re getting more than darker glass. You can get better heat rejection, UV protection, reduced glare, and a more comfortable vehicle during Louisiana summers while still keeping legality in mind.

More Teslas are hitting the road every day, and there’s one upgrade we think they shouldn’t go without.

This 2026 Tesla Model Y came in for our IR+ ceramic tint on all side windows, the full rear glass, and the windshield for maximum heat rejection throughout the cabin.

Teslas have a lot of glass, and in the Louisiana sun, that means a lot of opportunity for heat to enter the vehicle. Going with a high-performance ceramic film like IR+ helps dramatically reduce that heat, blocks 99% of harmful UV rays, cuts glare, and makes that glass-heavy cabin much more comfortable.

And don’t overlook the windshield. A lighter ceramic film can still provide serious heat rejection without making the windshield excessively dark, helping protect you from one of the largest pieces of glass you’re sitting behind every day.
