The LDWF Enforcement Division has been staying active across the state, strengthening community partnerships and showing up for the people and places that support conservation, recreation, and service. 🎣🤝
On April 17, Lt. Joseph Melton and Sgt. Harvey Pearce attended the Toledo Bend Lake Association Unlimited Banquet and Auction at Cypress Bend Park. This fundraising event supports projects that benefit Toledo Bend Lake and its communities. Enforcement Agents parked a unit and a patrol vessel at the entrance and greeted attendees as they arrived, helping build rapport with the Toledo Bend Lake Association and strengthening community connections. 🚤🌊
On April 23, Lt. Frank Reger represented the LDWF Enforcement Division at the CCA Louisiana banquet at Riverview Hall in Shreveport. At the event, he set up a display booth, talked with CCA members, and answered questions. With approximately 700 attendees, the banquet provided a strong opportunity for outreach and connection with the angling community. 🎣🏛️
Wrapping up the week on April 25, Sgt. Justin Sonnier and Corporal Jacob Cramer helped with cooking a jambalaya at the 15th annual Corporal Matthew Richard Memorial 5K run in Iota. The Louisiana Wildlife Agents Association donated ingredients and supplies. The agents provided a warm meal after the run for approximately 250 attendees, helping to raise awareness of the sacrifices made by fallen soldiers and their ultimate sacrifice made for their country.
The Corporal Matthew Richard Memorial Foundation serves the local and national military community by preserving patriotism and providing financial aid to existing service organizations offering support to those in need.
