TAKING A SURVEY.
WHY DO REPAIR SHOPS CHARGE MORE THAN A OIL CHANGE PLACE?
I'll tell you why. We are currently putting a 383 Stroker motor in a truck for a client. Upon disassembly of his old motor we found alot of oil and carbon build up in the valley of the motor. The green circle is what it should look like and the red circles are the build up. That build up will ruin your engine. Doing the recommended services and using the right fluids is important to keep your engine clean and running for ever. Having a mechanic shop do this is more expensinve than a oil change place. But the end result is a longer lasting engine. What is more valuable to you the consumer? Saving a little up front or a lot in the end?
