The NMMA told the room at IBEX it expects new powerboat retail sales to fall another 3–5% in 2026. That would be the sixth straight year of declines.
That means more owners keeping the boat they have and putting money into it instead of trading up.
If that's you, the stuff nobody sees matters most. Hoses, clamps, thru-hulls and wiring under the console are what decide if a 5-year-old boat runs like new or leaves you stranded.
My takeaway: a boat you keep is only as good as the maintenance you do on it.
