❄️ Extreme Cold Weather Reminder (-10° Temps) ❄️
With temperatures dropping to -10° tomorrow and many schools closed, here are a few quick tips to help avoid cold-weather car troubles:

• Check tire pressures, engine oil & coolant levels
• Drive or idle your vehicle for about 1 hour today to help recharge the battery
• Keep your fuel tank at least half full
• Do NOT wash your vehicle (doors, locks, and seals can freeze)
• Garage parking is best if available
• Allow a 5-minute warm-up, then drive gently
• Keep blankets, gloves, and a portable phone charger in your vehicle

YMCA Rumor Clarification

It has come to my attention—via a Facebook post—that a rumor is circulating suggesting Vaupell Auto Repair is the reason the YMCA is closing its doors. Since then, I’ve received many questions, comments, and concerns.

I want to take a moment to clear up any confusion:

Vaupell Auto Repair does not own the YMCA building.
Vaupell Auto Repair is not expanding.
We are very happy with our current location and proud to be part of the La Grange Park community.

It’s truly sad to see the YMCA leave. I grew up in La Grange and now live in La Grange Park. Like many of you, I have countless cherished memories from time spent at the YMCA—events, friendships, and formative moments that helped shape our community.

We wish the YMCA and all the amazing people who made it such a special place nothing but the best in the future.
