2003. That's when we opened our doors in La Grande, and we've been showing up for this community ever since. 🔧

Over 20 years later, we're still the same shop: ASE certified, locally owned, and genuinely invested in doing right by every car and every customer that comes through. We work on everything from daily drivers to European models like BMW and Audi to diesel trucks, because La Grande drivers come in all kinds. 😄

Road trip season is HERE, and there's nothing worse than being 2 hours from La Grande with a car that's trying to tell you something. 🚗💨

Before you load up the cooler and hit the highway, here's what we always recommend checking:
🛞 Tires — pressure, tread depth, and don't forget the spare. Nobody thinks about the spare until they really need it.
🌡️ Coolant & AC — long drives on warm days put your cooling system to work. Make sure it's ready.
🔋 Battery — if it's over 3 years old and hasn't been tested lately, now's the time. A weak battery that starts fine in your driveway can fail on a mountain pass.
🛢️ Oil — check your level and when your last change was. A long trip on old oil isn't doing your engine any favors.

We can run through all of this in one quick visit, usually same day. Think of it as a pre-trip peace of mind check.

Raise your hand if the check engine light has ever sent you into a full spiral. 🙋 You're not alone.

Here's the thing though, that little light is actually your car trying to help you. It's connected to your vehicle's onboard computer, and when something's off, it logs a fault code.

The tricky part? One light can mean hundreds of different things. A loose gas cap? Check engine light. A failing oxygen sensor? Also check engine light.

That's why we don't just plug in a scanner and guess, we dig into the live data, run real tests, and find the actual root cause before we recommend a single repair. No unnecessary parts. No repeat visits. Just an honest answer.

Before summer really kicks in, it's worth getting your cooling system checked out. Catching a small refrigerant issue or a worn belt now is way cheaper than being stuck in a hot car in July.
