Letting our children grow up may be one of the hardest parts of parenting.

They graduate. Their friends become a bigger part of their world. They make choices we may not always understand. They make mistakes, they learn, and sometimes they make a few more mistakes along the way.

And as parents, we learn too.

Over the years at Don’s Towing, I’ve sat with more than a few moms and dads in our lot after their child crashed the family car. We’ve talked, hugged, laughed through the frustration, and sometimes even cried together.

Because sometimes it isn’t really about the car.

It’s about that moment when you realize you can’t protect your child from every mistake anymore. You can love them, guide them, and be there when they need you—but eventually, you have to let them learn how to navigate life on their own.

Parenting grown children is a whole different kind of love. ❤️

Some days are just… a lot. 😅

And then you get a visit like this. ❤️ A couple of little belly rub experts stopped by and reminded us that sometimes the best cure for a bad day is a wagging tail, a belly-up pup, and a few good laughs.

It’s hard to stay grumpy with this kind of happiness around the shop. 🐾❤️

It’s amazing how something so small can have such a big impact.

While out on my run this morning, I found this loose bolt in the middle of the road. Left there, it could have easily punctured a tire and ruined someone’s day.

At Don’s Towing & Repair, we see the results of road debris all the time. Today, I was just happy to remove one hazard before it became someone else’s problem.

Stay safe, and if you can safely remove road debris, you might save someone from an unexpected repair.🚗🔩
