Mavrik's Zalophus is nearing completion and will be in the water in July. Zalophus will join the other Mavrik vessels Dorado, Delphinus and Karl at WETA in San Francisco. MV Karl in service in San Francisco Bay. Karl is the first WETA vessel to utilize Tier 4 DEF engine exhaust systems making it the most efficient vessel in the fleet and most environmentally friendly with a 80% reduction in airborne exhaust particulate. By the way, all that goodness in exhaust technology has zero impact on performance with Karl still capable of cruising the Bay at an impressive 42 knots.
