Preparing for Winter Storm Fern, the forecast for up to 1/2” of ice in SETX this weekend may provide some challenges. Ensure your propane tanks are full, disconnect water lines to prevent freezing and use your fresh water tank.
If you’re using electric heaters maintain a safe distance away from items to prevent a fire.
If you’re not staying in your RV, make sure you’ve winterized your RV and drained all water and left your faucets open.

The importance of protecting furnace and water heater exhausts from dirt dobbers cannot be overstated. A recent customer complaint involved a furnace producing black soot shortly after being activated and then shutting off. Notably, a dirt dobber nest was discovered.

Waking up with cooler temperatures as we approach fall reminds me it’s a great time to have basic preventative maintenance conducted on our RV’s.

Whether you live in your Rv full time or use it for pleasure, it’s important to make sure you electrical, plumbing, roof, seals, AC, and heating are ready for the next season.

Have you conducted an annual AC cleaning?
When’s the last time you had your electrical panel connections checked and tightened?
Do you need to winterize your RV for storage?
Have you cleaned and treated your slide seals?
Have you inspected the sealant on your roof?
Is your water heater free of mineral build up?
Have you checked and replaced the anode rod?
