Apparently, this 2016 Chevrolet 2500 LML Duramax decided the valves needed a closer relationship with the piston. 😬

It came into ZZ Diesel after making a metallic noise, locking up, and refusing to turn over. Pulled the cylinder head and found a collection of broken valves, snapped stems, and metal chunks that definitely weren’t listed as factory options.

The piston looks like it lost a fight with a garbage disposal. The valves have resigned from their positions. Everyone involved has stopped working.

For anyone wondering, no… a new battery and clearing the codes won’t fix this one. 😂
