Just 10,242 Miles - is this One of the Lowest-Mile 7.3 Power Strokes We’ve Seen This Year.

This 1997 Ford F-250 XLT Lariat checks just about every box: 7.3L Power Stroke diesel, only 10,242 actual miles, XLT Lariat trim, Camper Special Package, dual fuel tanks, aluminum wheels, factory books, window sticker, Zeibart paperwork, and even both original remote keys.

We’ve already seen ultra-low-mile OBS trucks rewrite the market. Earlier this year, a roughly 5,000-mile OBS Power Stroke climbed into six-figure territory on Bring a Trailer.

Will 10,242 miles be enough to spark another bidding war?

We’ll find out when this one crosses the block at Classics on Friday, July 24.

You don’t have to go to Scottsdale or Kissimmee to find great trucks - there’s plenty of truck deals in the Midwest.

We’ve been keeping an eye on ’ No-Reserve Collector Auction in Carthage, Illinois. No reserve. Honest trucks. Honest prices.

Here are of our favorite buys from this week’s sale:

1989 FORD RANGER 4x4: $6,000
1982 Chevy S10: $6,400
1973 Chevrolet K10: $9,319
1974 International 200: $9,500
1997 Ford F-250 Power Stroke $26,000
1971 Ford F-100 4x4L $45,750

We’ll definitely be keeping an eye on the next one—and hopefully showing up with a bidder card.

July event is happening next week! And this Dodge Dakota is hitting the block hot.

Before Ford had the SVT Lightning and before Dodge unleashed the Dakota R/T, Dodge answered the 1990s muscle truck wars with something nobody else offered: a midsize pickup with a factory V8.

The 1995 Dodge Dakota SLT packed a 5.2L Magnum V8 with 230 horsepower, giving buyers full-size V8 power in a truck that was easier to park, easier to drive, and available with 4WD.

This truck is even more special. It’s a Mark III Conversion—built by the Ocala, Florida company that became the world’s largest custom vehicle conversion manufacturer, transforming ordinary pickups and vans into luxury cruisers throughout the 1980s and 1990s.

Best of all, the odometer shows just 4,469 original miles, making it one of the cleanest survivors you’ll find.

Crossing the block Thursday, July 23, at GAA Classics. We’ll see you there.

The Guy Who Convinced Ford to Hand Over Its History

Every Ford truck guy knows the Marti Report,But do you know the guy behind it?

It all started when Kevin Marti was restoring his Mercury Cougar and searching for a factory stripe kit. Along the way, he discovered Ford was sitting on decades of production records that only existed because federal safety laws required automakers to keep them.

Marti knew those records could tell the story of every classic Ford.

So he spent years convincing Ford to hand them over.

When Ford finally said yes in 1998, he flew to Dearborn with a Zip Drive and spent two days downloading Ford’s production history—covering 1967 through 1993—off a mainframe computer.

He took it home to Arizona, built the software to decode millions of rows of raw data, and created the legendary Marti Report.

Today, the database has expanded through the 2017 model year, helping owners prove exactly how their Ford left the factory. According to Hagerty, properly documented vintage Ford trucks can bring 6–8% more when they sell, while some vintage Ford cars have seen premiums approaching 10–15%.

Not bad for one stubborn Ford guy who refused to take no for an answer.

-owner 1986 Ford F-150 Lariat showing just 63,500 original miles,

The original owner must have had the JC Whitney catalog permanently bookmarked. It’s wearing a collection of period-correct accessories that perfectly capture what truck owners were bolting on in the ‘80s.

The seller says it runs great, and from the photos it looks like an honest, well-preserved Bullnose that’s getting harder to find—especially as a one-owner short bed.

If you’re looking for an unmolested classic Ford with low original miles, this one deserves a closer look. Found on Bullnose Classifieds. $18,000 / link in stories

Are you following ForgeCraft?

We first connected with ForgeCraft after watching their 1972 Chevrolet K10 Cheyenne bring $330,000 at Barrett-Jackson earlier this year.

Now they’re making the same chassis that underpins those six-figure builds available to everyone.

Designed for 1963–1991 Chevy, GMC Ford, Dodge, and International trucks and SUVs, the chassis disappears beneath the original body—no cutting up classic sheetmetal. Just modern suspension, modern drivetrains, and factory-inspired craftsmanship underneath.

Available in multiple configurations for builders, restoration shops, and DIY enthusiasts, it’s the same foundation behind ForgeCraft’s flagship trucks.

You don’t have to build a $330,000 truck. But you can. Give them a follow.

It’s almost Week. One of our favorite truck auctions in the country.

We were just on the phone talking trucks with Johnny and Kay and were reminded why we love GAA. Great people. Great trucks and Pride in doing it a little different than the other guys.

We’ll be in Greensboro with live coverage, and one of the first trucks we’ll be watching is this beautifully preserved 1970 Ford F-100 Ranger XLT showing just 48,000 actual miles.

It comes with the kind of documentation collectors dream about: the original window sticker, dealer invoice, build sheet, owner’s manual, service book and Marti Report.

Under the hood is the original 360 V8 paired with an automatic transmission, factory air conditioning, power steering and power disc brakes.

What do you think it will bring?

We’ll see you in Greensboro.
