The Arizona Department of Transportation advises motorists to plan for short-term full closures of US 93 north of Kingman to allow for controlled rock blasts as work continues on the I-40/US 93 West Kingman interchange project.
The mile-long closure of US 93 near Coyote Pass will be in place from 8 - 8:45 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 30, Thursday, Oct. 2, Tuesday, Oct. 7, and Thursday, Oct. 9:
โข Crews will begin narrowing US 93 to a single lane in each direction beginning at approximately 7 p.m. and then fully close the highway at 8 p.m.
โข Drivers should expect delays while crews set up traffic control.
โข Drivers should be prepared for a delay up to one hour.
โข Drivers should use caution around construction personnel and equipment.
The blasting schedule is subject to change based on weather and other factors.
