Bayside Body Shop KDH

Bayside Body Shop KDH FULL SERVICE COLLISION & AUTO REPAIR We service all makes and models, providing expert collision repair, computer precise frame repair and painting.

We have a full mechanical department to take care of your alignments, tires, scheduled maintenance and other auto repair needs. We are intentionally not a Direct Repair Shop for any insurance companies as these contracts hinder us from providing a quality OEM approved repair. Please be wary of being steered to any collision repair shop who is preferred or contracted directly with insurance compa

nies. We will work with any insurance company to get your vehicle repaired promptly, and returned to OEM required pre accident condition. Many insurance companies have preferred auto body shops that they have a contract with. However, despite the insurance companies suggestions, you are not required to use their recommended repair shops. You have the right to choose where your vehicle is repaired. You do not need an appointment to stop in for a collision repair estimate. We are here Monday-Friday and you can stop in anytime between 8:30-11:30 and 1:00-4:30 and we will give you an estimate for your repair needs.

The partnership also aims to help the automaker better manage and provide vehicle updates. Porsche AG and Applied Intuition, a Silicon Valley-based startup, have partnered to jointly develop automotive software, the companies announced on March 27.

Under the deal, Applied Intuition will give Porsche tools for end-to-end software validation and help the automaker manage and update its vehicle software. NHTSA investigating 2014 Ford-150 unexpected downshifting; Chrysler recalls over air bags

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) is investigating 86 complaints of the 2014 Ford F-150 unexpectedly downshifting.

The investigation follows recalls of the 2011-2013 models of the Ford F-150 in 2016 and 2019 for similar concerns. NHTSA documents say the recent complaints involve the vehicle abruptly slowing down without warning after the downshift. “The unexpectant downshift can also result in rear wheel lock-up and/or skidding, increasing the risk of a crash and/or injury,” the documents say.

Subaru recalling over 118K vehicles for airbag deployment issues

Subaru is recalling more than 118,000 vehicles in the U.S. due to an issue that could prevent the airbags from deploying during a crash, according to a federal safety regulator.

Certain Outback and Legacy vehicles that were manufactured between 2020 and 2022 are being recalled because a capacitor in the sensors for the Occupant Detection System (ODS) may crack and short circuit, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) said. The NHTSA warned that the issue can "prevent the front passenger airbag from deploying in a crash."

Chrysler is recalling around 286,000 vehicles over concerns that the side airbag inflators in the cars may rupture, which could hurt or even kill people.

According to separate notices posted by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), the recalls involve certain Dodge Charger and Chrysler 300 vehicles from model years 2018-2021, and replacement parts for airbags in roughly 1,000 vehicles. The notices state that the side curtain airbag inflators may rupture, which "may result in sharp metal fragments striking occupants, resulting in injury or death."
