Nurse sharks have a pretty cool trick: they don’t have to keep swimming to breathe. 🦈

They can pump water over their gills while resting on the bottom, which is why you’ll often see them lying completely still on the sand or tucked near the reef.

Seeing one peacefully resting during a SNUBA dive is such a classic Florida Keys moment. 💙

We loved having this awesome family spend two days with us, enjoying both SNUBA and scuba diving. Some explored with SNUBA while the certified divers headed underwater on scuba — all sharing the same beautiful Key West waters together. 🐠🪸
