For those of you I haven’t had the opportunity to bend your ear on the subject, the last month has been tied up playing with this motor. It was replaced once, and the 1st remanufactured motor came out of the box operational, but completely without compression on cylinder 8. New said motor then had to be removed and a replacement (for the replacement), had to be ordered and installed. Countless hours later she’s turn key done! The bigger problem, the better the feeling when it’s done.

Another odd job! Customer states loud bang and loss of power steering, battery light on etc. Harmonic balancer (or dampener) came completely apart. Thankfully it was at low speed and no other parts were affected. New balancer installed and vehicle back on the road. Thank you for choosing Afterhours Auto!

Been a very busy couple months. Here’s a peek at dash removal and evaporator core replacement on a Prius! AC would not hold Freon and vacuum would hold no more than 7 minutes. New evaporator core installed and air is blowing ice cold. Summer is here. Come see me for your AC needs!

Summer is here! If your AC isn’t blowing as cold as it should, or not at all, might be time to have your vehicle checked out. In-line filters for some AC systems are called or***ce tubes. Take a look at the difference between one clogged, and one clean. New compressor, accumulator, or***ce tube, and system flush later and this 22 year old pick up is blowing nice and cold. Lifted trucks are cool, but stock height has its benefits regarding the longevity of steering parts. Customer wanted to remove lifted knuckles and return back to stock, a loud groaning and creaking noise was also addressed with replacement of the upper control arms in the process. Stock height and quiet ride restored on this pick up. Thank you for your business!
