We’ve been keeping a secret… WE GOT A NEW AIRSTREAM!

Okay… “keeping a secret” might be a stretch because if you’ve talked to me at the shop, at International, or on the phone lately, there’s a pretty good chance I told you.

But now it’s official!

We are the new owners of a 2016 Airstream Flying Cloud 30RB Twin!

Going from our 25-foot Flying Cloud to the 30 is a pretty big change for us, but with Leah, Rosie, all of our camping gear, camera equipment, and the way we actually use our Airstream, we wanted more room to spread out. The separate sofa and dinette, huge amount of storage, bigger kitchen, and rear twin-bed layout just fit the way we camp right now.

And this particular Airstream has a pretty cool story. I actually walked through it about **two years ago** and remember thinking, *“If we were looking for a 30-footer, this would be an awesome one to buy.”*

Well… here we are.

It’s 10 years old, has been incredibly well cared for, and already has some REALLY cool custom modifications. But you know me… we’re definitely not leaving it alone.

There are a LOT of upgrades coming.

For this first video, though, we’re giving you the full tour, showing you what we bought, and talking about why we decided the 30RB was the right Airstream for our family.

And I want to hear from you…

If this were your Airstream, what would you upgrade first?

The 2027 Airstreams are here, and there are more changes than you might notice at first glance! 👀

Laura and I got a chance to walk through the new **2027 Airstream Flying Cloud 27FB Twin** at the 69th Airstream Club International Rally in Minot, North Dakota.

In this video, we take a look at what’s new for 2027—including the new **Willow Green interior**, Aqua-Hot system, 120W solar panels, new lighting, cabinetry and storage changes, an 80-amp converter, relocated speakers, and quite a few other updates.

There are some changes that I **really like**...and a few that I’m definitely not sold on. 😂

A big thank-you to **Airstream of Minnesota** for letting us get into the trailers early and make these videos!

After you watch it, tell me what you think! **Do you like the direction Airstream is going for 2027? And what do you think about Willow Green?**

Happy 10th birthday, Rosie!

Rosie loves Airstreaming with us (well, besides the long car rides)!

From campgrounds and rallies to long travel days and quiet nights at the campsite, she’s been part of so many of our favorite memories.

She’s traveled a lot of miles, explored a lot of places, and made our Airstream feel even more like home wherever we park it.

Here’s to 10 years of Rosie and hopefully many more adventures down the road!

Is an upgraded Airstream power system really worth it after you've actually lived with it?

At the 69th Airstream Club International Rally in Minot, North Dakota, I sat down with my good friend Brad from 13 Adventures to talk about the upgrades we made to his Airstream earlier this year — and, more importantly, how they've actually worked on the road.

Brad USES his Airstream. He spends a huge amount of time boondocking, staying at Harvest Hosts, and traveling without hookups. This summer alone, Brad traveled from California all the way up the West Coast to Seattle and estimates he only plugged in six or seven nights!

One of my favorite parts of this conversation isn't actually about batteries, solar panels, or inverters. It's about FREEDOM.

A good power system isn't just about how many amp-hours you have. It's about giving you the freedom to use your Airstream the way YOU want to use it.

Make sure you check out 13 Adventures, and if you have questions about Airstream power systems, generators, solar, lithium batteries, or anything we talked about in this video, drop them in the comments!

A lot can change in a year!

Last August, Laura and I traveled to York, PA, for the 68th Airstream Club International Rally.

While we were there, I finally had the chance to meet Brad of 13 Adventures. I mentioned that I was thinking about opening an independent Airstream repair shop. Little did I know, that simple conversation would set so much in motion.

Brad connected us with Jonathan Penn, owner of Ramble Texas. Last fall, we flew down to Texas to meet him and his wife, and before long, we decided to partner together on this new adventure. Ramble NC officially opened in January! This year, we all came together in Minot to celebrate Ramble—and to reflect on just how far we’ve come in such a short time. (And no, Brad and I did not intentionally wear the same shirts as last year!)

But that’s not the only change! At last year’s rally, Laura was just a few weeks pregnant. This year, Leah experienced her first Airstream rally! In a pretty perfect full-circle moment, our first date night as parents was at Airstream Prom.

We’re incredibly grateful for where this road has taken us, and we can’t wait to see what the next year holds!
