Congratulations to OnTop Towing here in Ohio on their new Kenworth, finished off with that Blue Jerr-Dan steel carrier.
This build marks a first for them — their first SRS-equipped rollback.
More recovery capability, more versatility when a straightforward load turns into something more complicated, and one seriously sharp truck to add to the fleet.
We spent some time going through the controls, carrier and SRS before sending them on their way — now comes the fun part: putting it to work.
We can't thank the OnTop Towing crew enough for continuing to trust us with their equipment.

We gave you the first look… now let’s get into what makes this RAM 5500.

Built in-house for Dunn Tire Service out of Middletown, Ohio, this RAM 5500 is one of those trucks that looks good sitting still — but completely changes once the lights come on.

The custom lighting package includes 15 Blue/Amber Dual Revolution penny lights across the valance, 2 more integrated into the steps, Blue/Amber lighting throughout the carrier, and full underglow underneath the truck. 🔵🟠

With the flip of a switch, the entire setup can run BLUE or AMBER, giving this truck one heck of a presence day or night.

And the details don't stop at the lighting. From the custom touches throughout the carrier to the stance and overall finish, we wanted this build to stand apart while still being a truck Dunn Tire Service can put to work every day.

This wasn't an off-the-shelf build.
It was put together specifically for Dunn Tire Service, and we're pretty happy with how it turned out.

Nothing beats picking up the new truck.

The crew from React Recovery came out to pick up their newest rollback, and we had to get their reaction to seeing it finished for the first time.

Of course, we couldn't just hand over the keys without having a little fun first…

From the first walkaround to learning the controls — and sending the boss a picture of the truck looking a little less than finished — this was a fun one.
