🔧 WHAT’S GOING ON IN THE GARAGE TODAY? 🔧

Today’s project is definitely NOT a quick oil change!

We’ve got an engine opened up and getting some serious attention — timing components, chains, guides, tensioners and plenty of greasy parts are all getting inspected and replaced as needed.

This is the kind of job where there’s no shortcut and no “close enough.” Everything has to go back together exactly where it belongs and be properly timed before this engine gets to make noise again. 🛠️

A little messy? Absolutely.
A little complicated? You bet.
Worth doing it right? Every single time.

While most people are thinking about their weekend, our techs are in the garage making sure someone’s vehicle is ready to get back on the road. 🚗💨

That’s just another day at Dave’s American Discount Muffler!

🇺🇸 Never Forget.

Today, we pause to remember September 11, 2001 — a day that changed our country forever.

We remember the lives lost, the families forever changed, and the brave first responders, firefighters, police officers, military members, and ordinary people who showed extraordinary courage.

More than 20 years later, we continue to honor their memory and the spirit of unity, strength, and compassion that followed.

From all of us at Dave’s American Discount Muffler, we remember. We honor. We will never forget. 🇺🇸

Your cabin air filter cleans the air that comes into the inside of your car through the heating and air-conditioning system.

It helps filter out:

* 🌫️ Dust and dirt
* 🌸 Pollen
* 🍃 Leaves and other debris
* 🚗 Exhaust fumes and some odors (if it’s a carbon/charcoal filter)
* 🦠 Some airborne particles

A dirty or clogged cabin air filter can cause weak airflow from the vents, unpleasant smells, foggy windows, and reduced heating or A/C performance.

It’s usually recommended to replace it about every 12,000–20,000 miles or once a year, though dusty or heavily polluted driving conditions may require more frequent replacement.

It’s different from the engine air filter—the cabin filter protects the air you breathe inside the car, while the engine air filter protects the engine.
