🚨 Tri-Cities car owners — let’s talk about “9-year” and “lifetime” ceramic coating warranties.

A ceramic coating can absolutely be a great investment when it’s installed properly and maintained correctly. But the warranty is where people need to slow down and read the fine print.

Most “9-year” or “lifetime” coating warranties are not a magic shield for your paint.

They usually come with conditions like:

âś… Required yearly inspections
âś… Specific maintenance rules
âś… Approved washing methods
âś… No automatic brush washes
âś… No neglect, contamination, water spotting, or improper care
âś… Proof of upkeep
âś… Warranty registration deadlines

Miss one step? Warranty void.

That doesn’t mean ceramic coatings are bad. It means the marketing can make them sound way more bulletproof than they really are.

A coating is a protection system, not permanent armor. It still needs proper washing, maintenance, and realistic expectations.

Before paying extra for a “lifetime warranty,” ask:

“What exactly does it cover?”
“What voids it?”
“Who pays for the correction if it fails?”
“Is this warranty from the installer or the coating company?”
“What maintenance is required to keep it valid?”

At the end of the day, a great install, honest education, and proper maintenance matter way more than a flashy warranty label.

Don’t buy the biggest promise. Buy from someone who explains the fine print.
