🚗 Tip Tuesday: Know Your Warning Lights

💡 TIP TUESDAY!

Not every warning light on your dashboard means “pull over immediately,” but ignoring one can turn a small problem into a much bigger (and more expensive) repair. 😬

🟡 Yellow/Amber light: Usually means your vehicle needs attention soon.
🔴 Red light: Often indicates a more serious issue that should be addressed immediately.

👉 Our tip: If a warning light comes on after an accident, don’t assume it’s unrelated. Have your vehicle inspected to make sure there isn’t hidden damage.

When in doubt, get it checked out! 🔧🚗

We asked our techs at LaPrairies what their favorite car to work on is.

Here are their answers:

1. Miles P.
Answer: Toyota Camry
Why? Because they are built exceptionally well and are incredibly easy to work on. In fact, our tech joked that to get the job done right, all you really need is a basic set of metric tools! 🔧😊

2. Henry O.
Answer: Mercedes-Benz
Why? Because these vehicles demand absolute perfection and quality service. 💫

3. Miguel Q.
Answer: Chevy Tahoe
Why: It’s easiest to fix, built to last, reliable and always my favorite to get on the lift. 😃

Come on by to meet our techs at the shop and get your own vehicle taken care of! We're always happy to help. ✨

❤️ Safety doesn’t stop at the shop floor!

Today, our LaPrairie’s Collision Center team took a CPR & AED certification class to make sure we’re prepared to respond in an emergency when it matters most.

A huge thank you to Mr. Joe at Cintas for coming out, teaching our team, and getting everyone certified! 👏

And of course, no training day is complete without showing our team some appreciation! We made sure everyone was well fed and treated them to cookies and cupcakes for a job well done. 🧁🍪❤️

We’re proud of our team for taking the time to learn these important skills and for continuing to look out for one another.

🚨 Prepared. Certified. Ready to help.

🚗 **TIP TUESDAY | What to Do After a Car Accident**

Accidents happen—but knowing what to do next can make a stressful situation a little easier.

Here are a few important steps to remember:

📸 **Take photos** of all vehicles, the scene, and any visible damage.
📄 **Exchange insurance & contact information** with the other driver.
🚔 **Call the police** if necessary and get a copy of the report.
📞 **Contact your insurance company** to report the accident.
🔧 **Choose a repair shop you trust** before authorizing repairs.

💡 **Tip:** Even if the damage looks minor, it’s a good idea to have your vehicle properly inspected. Some damage may not be visible at first.

Save this post—you never know when you might need it! ❤️

Today we made a few stops to hand out cookies as a small way of saying thank you.

We dropped some off to our local law enforcement agencies to show our appreciation for everything they do to keep our community safe. We also visited the dealerships and parts vendors we work with every day to thank them for their continued support and partnership.

We only remembered to snap one picture (with the Kenner Police Department 😅), but we wanted everyone we visited to know how much we appreciate you. Thank you for everything you do! 💙🍪🚔🚗
