Another test kitchen in the books! 🍔🍗🥩🍤

Today Sysco rolled out the red carpet for The Body Shop Bar & Grill while we worked on dialing in our opening menu!

We sampled appetizers, fried chicken, custom burger blends, different steak cuts, Gulf shrimp options and quite a few other things we’re considering.

And yes… GULF SHRIMP or NO SHRIMP at The Body Shop! 😂🍤

We’ve taken a ton of the suggestions y’all have given us and we’re getting VERY close to locking in the opening menu.

Just remember—the menu we OPEN with will NOT be the full menu. We plan on listening to the people walking through our doors, getting your opinions on what we’re serving AND hearing what you want us to add.

We’re not here to tell Harahan what it wants.

We want Y’ALL to tell us.

Getting closer every day and we can’t wait to open these doors and serve this community! 🍻

Sometimes you just happen to be in the RIGHT place at the RIGHT time. 😂👟

This German family stumbled across us filming, told us how much they LOVE Adidas, and even though the giveaway wasn’t happening at the time… we decided they needed some new kicks. 🇩🇪

They told us we made their vacation. I think it’s safe to say they made our day too! ❤️

We had a blast giving these things away and watching people’s reactions!

The official release goes down SEPTEMBER 12TH at Sneaker Politics on Decatur St.

If you remember what this side yard looked like BEFORE we took over, what you’re seeing right now is already a HUGE transformation! 😂💪🏼

This entire lot was PACKED with junk cars, old trailers, scrap and all kinds of rubbish. Just getting it cleared out enough to see the ground again was a project in itself!

Now the real transformation starts. 👀🔧🍻

The roof of The Body Shop is getting sealed, the building is going BLUE, the old shed and remaining debris are coming OUT, and the entire lot will be leveled and resurfaced with limestone.

Then comes new fencing, an outdoor patio for the bar and eventually our OUTDOOR STAGE! 🎶🍺

We won’t have every single piece finished by opening day, but we’re getting damn close!

The outside of The Body Shop Bar And Grill is DONE other than signage, which should be going up next week! 🔥 We also start moving equipment into the bar next week, so interior pics and videos are coming soon!

We’ve started clearing the side and back of the property, which will eventually become additional parking, an outdoor patio AND an outside stage!

We’re shooting for opening in about FOUR WEEKS! 🤞🏼

Now we need YOUR help, Harahan!
