The ’64 Dodge Polara is finally starting to come together.
This one is getting a Gen III 392 Hemi backed by an 8HP70 transmission, sitting on a full front and rear coil over suspension with brakes and a 9” rearend.
So far we’ve completed the front and rear suspension install, test fit the drivetrain, fabricated a new transmission tunnel, built a custom transmission crossmember, welded in subframe connectors, and test fit the Air system.
Next up: pulling the drivetrain back out, smoothing and painting the engine bay, painting the rear axle, reassembling everything, reworking the interior, and getting this Mopar back on the road where it belongs.
A lot of fabrication and planning goes into making modern performance look like it could’ve come from the factory in 1964.
