Had a great time at Triple Crown of Rodding. We parked on pit road on day 1 to be part of the judged cars, but knew going in that it was on a different class of builds. Some incredible cars there from many of top builders in the country. The weather was brutally hot!
Here are a couple pics. Early morning waiting in line with a nearby warehouse fire nearby cast some cool light on the car but also was dropping ash all over everything.
Lots of people stopped by the car and complimented it so happy.
Not sure about next year there. I-70 construction traffic was horrible and we drove in rain almost all the way there. We took a different route home. It added an hour to the drive but didn't have the white knuckle and high heart rate so we'll worth it.

Starting to think about the next project. It's a 65 Malibu and I'm thinking about a pro touring/autocross look.
1st pic is car, 2nd pic (silver) is the look that I'm considering.
Any thoughts/suggestions on color choice?

Nothing better than brand new parts that don't work. I've been having issues with the power steering, or lack thereof. So, I rented a power steering pressure tester and found that there was no pressure comingout of the pump.
Opened up the pump to find that the pressure plunger (?) and spring were installed incorrectly. Put it back together in the correct order and reinstalled everything. Guess what? It works!
Must have been the last part on a Friday or the 1st one on Monday.
Regardless, I learned some more things and more importantly, power steering is working.

Finished up the Nova trunk enclosure. One more off the list.

Trunk enclosure almost complete. A few more support pieces before final assembly and wrapping in vinyl. Having the battery in the trunk made the passenger side a little challenging.

Had a great time at the Magic Dragon Street Meet at Bagnell Dam. Tons of nice cars. The little 63 didn't win any awards, but that was not really important. The goal was to get the car to the show and enjoy it, which we definitely did.
Now time to drive it a little to work some minor bugs out, otherwise the car did great.
Thanks all for following along. It definitely gave me encouragement to get it done.
