Knocked out some gelcoat work - 800 grit wet sand + buff. Problem solved.
Contrary to popular belief you can get a great shine off gelcoat even at 600 grit. I went 800, takes a little more work to buff out but it's way more forgiving.
3000 grit is useless for correction IMO, that's for cleaning. You could sand with 3000 if you want to spend the next 12 years sanding and burn through 500 discs lol.
Shining like glass now.
