‼️another 2024 Kawasaki pro-fxt 1000 belt squeal fix‼️

This customer found us from a facebook post explaining that we can fix the dreaded belt squeal that plagues the newer 24+ 1000 kawasaki side by sides. Like all the others, he said he had multiple trips to the dealership, only for it to squeal loading it back on his trailer in their parking lot, then being told it was normal for these models to have belt slip. Frustrated he turned to google, and google led him to us for the fix. He said he loves the machine but if we couldn't get it fixed he was trading it in

Of course, the issue is not normal, its just very common and the factory clutch/belt specs dont work. the dealer sets them up according to the book and they slip and squeal.

We inspected the belt deflection and found that the belt was so loose that you could almost take it off by hand. We removed and disassembled the factory clutch and found what we always do, 2.2mm worth of shims. We removed 1.0mm and reinstalled the remaining 1.2mm and reassembled. The belt deflection was MUCH tighter, and a quick test drive confirmed that if we let the machine roll backwards down the incline to our shop, then gave it full throttle in high range while it rolled back the only squeal sound it made was from the tires the same day he dropped it off! We then readjusted the park brake and changed the engine oil at the customers request and returned it to him ready to work!

This rancher 350 came in with a no start condition. Diagnosis revealed heavy carbon build up from an oil consumption issue completely blocking the spark plug electrode leading to a no spark condition. We installed a new spark plug and confirmed the atv started and ran but smoked heavily. After discussing the options the customer then declined any further repair at this time

This customer brought in his new gen 3 outlander 1000 for some nice power upgrades 🔥

We installed a full set of billet STM velocity clutches, a straightline performance polished stainless slip on exhaust, an MG1 ecm unlock with a stage 3 RVS Performance tune, a full set of turner cycles front and rear A-arms, and a set of knight atv RGB fender speakers. After getting everything installed the customer had us install a set of terache xx tires to wrap it up!

‼️this was a crazy one‼️

This customer brought in his canam outlander after he accidentally sunk it. He tried the flush the mud out after but ultimately the engine locked up and needed to be replaced. We sold him a CW Motorsports remanufactured engine with their standard 6 month warranty, installed it and also fixed several small issues like a broken motor mount and missing driveshaft retaining bolts while we were in there.

The strange part is that the atv ran fine up until it locked up. Upon installing the engine we found that the atv only had spark on the rear cylinder momentarily when letting off of the start button, preventing it from starting. At this point we checked the usual; rpm signal, keyed power to the ignition coil, ohmed the coil trigger wires between the ecm and coil, tried the coil on another atv to confirm it works etc. NO ISSUES WERE FOUND. We then checked for trouble codes, checked pid data, and checked DESS function using the canam BUDS system, and found no issues there either. We tried programming another key and a used ecm we had on hand and found the issue still remained.

Then we broke out the real tools. we checked the flywheel for magnetic field abnormalities using magnetic imaging film, we bench tested the crank sensor, and even tried the crank sensor off of my personal atv. Then we checked the crank sensor signal output using an oscilloscope. Zoomed in each AC wave pulse looked uniform and even, but zoomed out we could see that every compression pulse changed the shape and intensity of the crank shaft signal ‼️this is when it gets GOOD‼️

The bosch ME 17.8.5 ecm as well as other ecm models on canams monitors crank sensor patterns at a basic level by counting the speed of the crank sensor pulses to determine the engine is cranking, and to give an RPM read out on the cluster, and this basic check was working fine. After completing the basic check the ecm looks at the full crank signal pattern and compares it to a pattern it expects to see before it enables fuel and spark to allow starting......if the engine cranks too slow, too fast, or has an unexpected pattern from a compression or cam timing issue it will not allow spark and fuel, but will not register a fault.

We checked camshaft timing and confirmed its ok, but then we checked the camshaft part number and found that during assembly the engine manufacturer has installed a rear part number camshaft in the front cylinder and a front part number camshaft in the rear cylinder, which caused an irregular crank sensor pattern, preventing the ecm from allowing spark and fuel. After swapping the front and rear camshaft to the correct position and retiming, we confirmed that spark had returned. We then reassembled the engine and confirmed the atv started and ran exactly as it should. We then reassembled and test drive the atv WITH NO ADDITIONAL DIAGNOSIS CHARGE despite spending several days chasing the issue because the issue was on the engine manufacturers end.

After a quick break in and test drive we returned it to the customer ready to hit the mud!

And as always, from our family to yours, thank you for your business and continued support!

This customer brought in his renegade 650 after the 4x4 failed to engage. After test driving we confirmed diff lock worked as it should, but the 4x4 actuator would not engage. Electrical diagnosis revealed no keyed power was present to the 4x4 actuator, and we traced it down to a small impact damage in the wiring harness behind the ECM cover from a previous accident the customer had. After repairing the broken wire we confirmed that the 4x4 and diff lock worked exactly as it should, then returned it to the customer ready to hit the mud!

This customer brought in his honda foreman 500 for a top end rebuild after it started to smoke heavily while running. We installed a new OEM honda top end and a fresh oil change and adjusted the valve lash. After a quick break in/test drive to burn the oil out of the exhaust we returned it to the customer ready to ride!
