Dearest friends,

As Cat & I sit and write this letter, we are filled with many emotions: joy, excitement, apprehension & sadness. As most of you know we have been in business for 36years.
We write to inform you that, after 36 years of serving our community, Grisham Auto Service will close… It is time. This has weighed heavy on our hearts for a while now.
Many of you know where we stand on our faith. This has been God’s business, He allowed us to run and manage it for Him. Since day one He has had His hand on the daily operations of it.
We have not only serviced your vehicles, but also, for some of you, your kids vehicles and your grandkids. It has been a blessing to be a part of your lives.
Each of you have played a great part in our lives, the life of Grisham Auto Service and our hearts. We thank you so much for putting your trust in us. We thank you for the friendships, the memories, the camaraderie, the many, and thoroughly enjoyable morning conversations!

As of now we have plenty to do on the farm. Cat will be thrilled to be able to work with and/or ride her horses on a daily basis, actually having more time to do so. Me? You all know I like my horsepower on 4 wheels, not necessarily on 4 hooves!( although I know Cat will have me out riding with her more often) I will always have my hand in mechanic mode but now I can do it at my leisure. We will figure it all out. We definitely look forward to this next chapter and to see what God has in store for us.
Oh, and Charly and Max? I know they will be missed so much! Some of you will miss them more than Cat & myself!! They will enjoy their days, filled with running, chasing, wrestling, swimming in the pond and their natural nap time!
This isn’t good-bye, but, it is the end of an era. This chapter may be over but we do look forward to turning the page.
We wish the best for each and every one of you. You will always be a part of our fondest memories.

There will be a follow up letter being sent out from the new owners.
It will continue to be a vehicle repair facility. Please feel free to stop by
and introduce yourselves to the new owners, Russ Crouch and his sons Matt
and Mason, they will gladly answer any questions you might have.
I will remain here for a few months in order to help with this transition.

We are open for business!
We have had several call for appointments and were able to work all last week.
The PPP loans with SBA: we filed on the 1st day and unfortunately when they got around to us they were out of money. Another bill is in the works BUT, Pelosi and her "crew" decided to take a vacation and not return until May 5th. I do not believe that it will go through very fast as they will fight it, as always, in order to get all of their "pork" included, ( these bills SHOULD strictly pertain to the COVID19) which goes to show that they only care about themselves and not the people or small business.
We will continue on, God has provided for our business for 32 years and He will continue according to His will.
We have always said that this is His business, not ours, we just manage it.

NOTICE: EFFECTIVE THURSDAY APRIL 9TH 2020

Due to the COVID-19 and the stay at home orders, our business has slowed down to the point that we must close our doors.

THIS WILL ONLY BE TEMPORARY

ANY FIRST RESPONDERS WITH AN IMMEDIATE NEED, WE WILL TAKE CARE OF YOU AS QUICKLY AS POSSIBLE.

Our prayer is to return in 2 weeks on Monday, April 27th,
PLEASE, if in need of repairs or need to set up appointments, call the shop number 816-455-5800 and leave a message. We will check our messages every day and get back with you.
We can/will set up appointments for Monday the 27th and after.

You are all important to us and we appreciate you very much!
We are sorry for any inconvenience this may cause.

We are open for business and do plan on remaining open to serve our customers.
Due to the COVID-19 we will be implementing a few safety/health measures and would appreciate your help to keep everyone safe.

For precautionary reasons and to keep everyone's safety first and foremost, we request the following:
If you would please disinfect your vehicles, door handles, steering wheels, dash etc prior to dropping off it would be greatly appreciated. We/ our employees will also disinfect prior to returning your vehicle to you.

If you have been traveling, or have been around someone that has tested positive for this virus, we request that you postpone making an appointment for at least 30 days. I realize this may be an inconvenience but we must take precautions for everyone.Please note this time limit might change as time and the virus continues.

Please stay safe!
Please pray for the world, all affected by this virus. Pray for those who have lost loved ones, those who have tested positive, pray for those in the medical field: the doctors, nurses, EMT's, all involved. Pray for the kids (and their parents) that are now proceeding to continue their studies at home.
I know this is not only affecting the elderly, but, pray for them, check on them, see if there is anything that they need.
This is an adjustment for all of us. We will get through this together.
