So after spine surgery #3 last October I was questioning whether or not I was up to riding to Sturgis this year. I'd planned it out for about 450 miles a day. Over the past couple of days I rode up and back from South Carolina to Philadelphia to visit my daughter. 700 miles and 11 hours in the saddle each way. That answered that question.
See y'all in Sturgis. I'll be wearing my Mustangs vest. My wife and I will spend most nights upstairs at the Loud American listening to the David Graham Band.

After I finished my volunteer time on USS Yorktown today I met up with Bill Karitis for lunch. This guy is definitely a long distance rider. He's the kind of rider who'll do an Iron Butt ride at the drop of a hat.

Wife and I went for a ride today. The weather was great so I wore my vest. I try to wear it as often as possible because it’s a great conversation starter either with other bikers, vets, or people who want to know what “mustangs” means.
Today was especially good because I was able to let people know that it is the 126th birthday of the U.S. submarine force.
Happy Birthday to my fellow submariners.
