Some tire prep machine updates & upgrades have arrived. Updates include...
* SIPING TOOL REDESIGN
Now with a swivel base & solid mounting on the tool arm rod. This allows free movement left, right, forwards, & backwards as well as being able to yaw, & pitch to accurately follow the curves of the tire while at the same time being rigid to prevent roll where free movement could be a hinderance to stability & accuracy. The siping heads are also now mounted in a ferris wheel type fashion. They can be quickly selected by pulling the locking pin and rotating the k**b on the side of the housing until the desired siping head is in the active position & replacing the locking pin.
* STAND CHANGES
The stand base is now made from 1-5/8" 12 gauge strut channel instead of the 1-1/2" 14 gauge steel square used prior. The stand now has a heavier duty bottom bracing section. There is also now an option for 6" casters instead of the 2.5" casters that have been standard to this point.
* TOOL ARM CHANGES
The rod used for the siping tool/needler is now made from a smooth black pipe section instead of the threaded rod used previously. This pipe section is also of a slightly larger diameter than the threaded rod was. The side mounts for the rods is made from a thicker gauge of steel than before.
