Kankakee Spring & Alignment is currently looking for a suspension technician/mechanic.

Pay is negotiable and will depend on previous work experience.
Training will be available, and you must have a valid drivers license.
Benefits package and uniforms are available after 60 days.
We provide the air tools and all larger tools, but you must supply your own basic tools.

We are open Monday thru Friday from 8am to 5pm.
We need a self motivated individual that isn't afraid to get dirty.

Please use caution if you’re coming down Issert Drive this afternoon! This storm dumped down a lot of rain very quickly, so our road is completely submerged.

This post is for all the linemen, police officers, medics, firemen, and city, county, and state maintenance workers: WE SEE YOU AND WE APPRECIATE YOU!!!

If you are working to put our community back together after this awful storm, and find yourself near us south of Kankakee, please do not hesitate to stop in! We have a warm office to take a break, and have hot coffee, hot water and the fixings to make hot chocolate and tea, and cold water available for all of you. It’s the least we can do to show our appreciation for all of your hard work!

We are located at 88 West Issert Drive, which is off of Route 45/52 south of I-57 exit 308. It is the industrial drive on the west side of the road south of Love’s truck stop and north of the Kankakee County Fairgrounds.

We’re back at it!!! The power came back on mid-day yesterday, so we are back open and good to go!

Due to last night’s storms, we have lost power with no current estimated restore time. Without power, our phones are also down, so the only means of communication we have at the moment is through this page.

Our thoughts are with all of those affected by last nights terrible storm. We did not sustain any damage to our building, so we are considering ourselves extremely fortunate today.

We have something to be very thankful for this Thanksgiving!

We received an unexpected letter in the mail today telling us that we were designated a top repair shop in Kankakee for 2025! We’d like to thank everyone has left us an online review this last year to make this possible. We like to say that we have some of the best customers out there, and this just proves it!

Community Notice:

The Kankakee County Emergency Response Team (ERT) is currently conducting training exercises on West Issert Drive, near the 308 Exit off Route 45/52 in Kankakee.

We’re aware of online rumors suggesting that the increased police presence is related to Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) activity. These reports are not accurate.

This is a regularly scheduled training session, part of the ERT’s ongoing preparedness efforts to ensure our deputies/officers remain ready to respond effectively to critical incidents. There is no cause for public concern.

We appreciate the community’s understanding as our team trains to keep Kankakee County safe.
