🔥 THIS IS THE ONE. 🔥
After the wreck… after the rebuild… Phoenix finally fires again.
Today’s video is one of the biggest moments we’ve had on this channel — we finally get the Steve Morris Engines SML lit off in the car. It wasn’t smooth (we had flames 😅 and sensor issues), but we pushed through it and brought Phoenix back to life.
On top of that, we wrapped up major plumbing, finished out the fuel cell, and checked off a TON of work just to get to this moment. When it fired… man, it sounded unreal.
This might honestly be bigger than the wreck itself — because this is the comeback.

What a evening I was so pumped to watch Jonathan Michael Capizzi make some passes in the new and improved slim shady. Even better wad the fact he went rounds and made it to the finals against one of the fast small tire cars in the country speaks for itself. Bill Lutz congratulations on your win. Your a bad bad man drove the car back down the track to the winners circle. She was a bit warm. Samuel Peterson & US 131 Motorsports Park you rock always the best thank you I'm blessed to call 131 my home track. Jimmy Bradshaw great event hopefully next year our car isn't waiting on parts your event is one that's always on our schedule.

Shout out to Bill Devine Bullseye Power Turbochargers first we run up to drop off our compressor housing to get polished and the 85mm mid frame to get a little update. It ate some Wheaties and came back a 88mm. Inthe process of dropping the stuff off bill gives me and David Michael Diehl some under shirts that are great for sweat control everyone that races know's how it feels in when its 90° outside in a race suit.
