MAUI - La‘akea Village is Maui's 2023 Quarter 4 beneficiary of Ohana Fuels’ “Fuel Up. Do Good.” program. Through this program, Ohana Fuels partners with local nonprofit organizations that serve the needs of Maui communities and donate a portion of every gallon of gasoline purchased at Ohana Fuels locations in the local community of that organization. Since October through December 31st 2023, a portion of all sales at Maui’s Ohana Fuels/Minit Stop locations will be donated to La‘akea Village.

La‘akea Village is an established non-profit organization 501(c)3 on the north shore of Paia that provides authentic life-sharing opportunities through a day program for adults with developmental disabilities. They provide one-on-one mentorship and group opportunities to help participants reach their goals. They are also a working farm with produce such as papayas, avocados, and sunflowers, and a country store with organically grown produce.

HAWAI‘I ISLAND - PARENTS Inc., Hawaii are the 2023 Quarter 4 beneficiary of the Ohana Fuels “Fuel up. Do Good.” program. Ohana Fuels partners with nonprofit organizations that serve the needs of the local community and donates a portion of every gallon of gasoline purchased at all Ohana Fuels stations in that community. Since October and through December 2023, a portion of all sales at all Big Island Ohana Fuels/Minit Stop locations will be donated to PARENTS, Inc.

P.A.R.E.N.T.S., Inc., (Providing Awareness, Referrals, Education, Nurturing, Therapy & Support) is a 501(c)(3) organization that has been serving Hawaii's families since 1975. They have helped strengthen thousands of families by teaching parents positive parenting skills and techniques in order to prevent child abuse and neglect within our island homes. Over 4,000 parents and their children benefit from their services annually.

Hale Kau Kau is the current Maui beneficiary of Ohana Fuels’ “Fuel Up. Do Good.” Program. Through this program, Ohana Fuels partners with local nonprofit organizations that serve the needs of Maui communities and donate a portion of every gallon of gasoline purchased at Ohana Fuels locations in the local community of that organization.

Until September 30, 2023, a portion of all sales at Maui’s Ohana Fuels locations will be donated to Hale Kau Kau. The last organization to team up with Ohana Fuels, Maui Youth & Family Services, received just under $6,000 from the “Fuel Up. Do Good.” program.

Ohana Fuels is a retail fuel brand for Hawaii Petroleum that provides quality fuel for Maui residents. Ohana Fuels has eight convenient, clean, and safe locations on Maui. Hawai’i Island United Way is the latest beneficiary of Ohana Fuels’ “Fuel Up. Do Good.” program. Through this program, Ohana Fuels partners with local nonprofit organizations that serve the needs of Hawai‘i Island and Maui communities and donate a portion of every gallon of gasoline purchased at Ohana Fuels locations in the local community of that organization.

From July to September 2023, a portion of all sales at Hawai‘i Island’s Ohana Fuels/Minit Stop locations will be donated to Hawai‘i Island United Way (HIUW).

Ohana Fuels has many convenient, clean and safe locations, including eight Maui stations and eight Hawai’i Island stations. Hawai‘i Petroleum is committed to giving back to the community and the people living in the neighborhoods that they serve. MAUI – Ohana Fuels’ Fuel up. Do good. Community Giving Program has selected IMUA Family Services as the Maui 2023 Quarter 2 recipient. During the months of April, May and June, every purchase of gasoline at an Ohana Fuels location on Maui will help support the Camp Imua program. “At Ohana Fuels, our first priority is family – not just our own, but the families in the neighborhoods where our stations are located,” says Kimo Haynes, president of Hawaii Petroleum.

Imua Family Services provides comprehensive early childhood development services to children and their families with the support and resources needed to achieve their full potential in life.

Each year, over 3000 community members on Maui and Lanai receive support from Imua Family Services through its Infant & Child Development Program, Early Childhood Development Program, Newborn Hearing Screening and Camp Imua.

BIG ISLAND - Ohana Fuels’ Fuel up. Do good. Community Giving Program has selected Humanity Hale as the Big Island 2023 Quarter 2 recipient.

During the months of April through June, a portion of all sales at participating Hawaiʻi Island Ohana Fuels locations will be donated to Humanity Hale in support of underserved and foster care youth in Hawaiʻi. The funds raised from the Ohana Fuels ‘Fuel Up. Do Good.’ Program will be used to support our programs through the purchase of program supplies for trauma based / healing materials and career/college readiness support, youth transportation costs and meals for program days (an important factor for those who have to rely on school meals as their main food resource.) any remaining funds will go directly to the Youth foster home and community center building project.

Project Pilina, a program of Partners in Development Foundation (PIDF)
focused on sourcing foster care families, received nearly $7,000 from our Ohana Fuels “Fuel Up. Do Good.” program to support graduating youth in foster care. During the months of October through December, Ohana Fuels donated a portion of every gallon of gasoline purchased at all Ohana Fuels stations in that community to directly support foster care youth in East Hawaiʻi.

On any given day in Hawaiʻi there are more than 1,250 keiki in foster care, of which more than 300 are 13 to 17 years old. Project Pilina recruits and guides resource caregiver (foster parent) applicants through the initial steps of the general licensing process to foster in Hawaiʻi. The program seeks to build relationships with island communities by raising awareness about foster care and connecting with resource caregiver applicants.

“We’re grateful for this opportunity to partner with Project Pilina,” says Kimo Haynes, president of Hawaii Petroleum. “Their work with foster keiki is invaluable for our community and we want to thank the community for supporting them through the ‘Fuel Up. Do Good.’ program.”
