Location: Jurupa Valley, California
Salary Grade: Hourly
Primary Function
The Accessory Installation Technician is a crucial part of Wheeler Upfitters Automotive Accessory Department. This position plays a key role within the department, installing accessories on customer vehicles.
Performance Responsibilities – Essential Functions (Other duties may be assigned)
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential function satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. 1. Comply with all existing Federal, State, local and company requirements, rules and regulations.
2. Inspect all customer vehicles for damage before beginning work
3. Confirm all parts, accessory codes and numbers before beginning work
4. Must be skilled with the use of basic hand tools as they relate to automotive maintenance or repair.
5. Inspect parts before installing
6. Accountability for hand tools, torque wrenches and light power tools
7. General maintenance around the shop including but not limited to cleaning shop, organizing tools, and organizing inventory etc..
8. Wear all protective clothing and equipment.
9. Maintain compliance with O.S.H.A. standards.
10. Communicate with facility supervisor on any problems as they occur.
11. Complete all required paperwork.
12. Evening and weekends work will be required as job duties demand.
13. Report all accidents and issues regarding personal safety and product safety to your supervisor immediately
14. Consistent and reliable performance and attendance is expected.
15. Attend departmental, locational, and safety meetings (including conference calls) when necessary.
Qualifications
· High School Diploma or GED
· Bennett Mechanical Comprehension Test (BMCT) or Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) test (recommended)
· Willingness to comply with all company, local, State and Federal regulations
· Must be comfortable working in all conditions; inside and outside environment
· Must pass a pre-employment drug test and background check
· Must be willing to work weekends when needed
· Maintain a valid state driver’s license if required to operate company equipment
· Ability to communicate and speak English where others will understand

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have basic computer skills and understand how to use a Computer tablet.

The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds; occasionally 75 pounds.

Employee’s will be exposed to indoor and outdoor weather conditions except those that would cause or likely to cause the employee any physical harm. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to high from noises from vehicles and heavy machinery.
